It’s a beautiful autumn Friday, and I’m working on editing a lovely wedding…Leah and Daniel’s Wedding to be exact!  I saw this image of the two of them, just after they had said “I Do!”  I caught this sweet kiss during their first moments alone as husband and wife.  Leah and Daniel, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding, it was absolutely beautiful!

More to come soon!

Sneak Peek: Wedding: Leah + Daniel

It was a Friday afternoon. The phone rang.  A nervous, yet excited voice on the other end mentioned that he was getting married and needed a wedding photographer…for a Tuesday afternoon wedding in September. I loved hearing the excitement in the groom’s voice as he described their upcoming wedding details and venue.  I remember hearing him say something about a little white chapel, enclosed by a white picket fence, surrounded by grass and woods.  Oh, and they would be surrounded by 60 of their closest friends and family members.  It was like the chimes of wedding photography heaven rang in a harmonious symphony!  Ok, maybe I’m being a little over-dramatic, but I knew this wedding would be nothing short of fabulous.  And what a fabulous day they had, the bride and her groom. Oh, Candice and Patrick!  Under the blue sky, as witnessed by the people dearest to them, they vowed to spend forever making each other happy.  And as you’ll see by their smiling faces in the images below, they’ll indeed love every minute of forever.  Together.  Congratulations, Candice and Patrick!  And thank you so much for the honor of allowing me to capture your special day!

Patrick has this cool 1937 Cadillac, which you’ll see more of later.

Off to the ceremony!

Quite possibly the most adorable wedding venue!

These two were all smiles, from the moment they arrived at the ceremony site, just non-stop smiling!
Love it!

They’re even smiling as they kiss!
Married!

I adore this series!  Just after their recessional! So incredibly sweet and perfect!

As guests departed the chapel, these two made a run for it!

A sweet congratulatory kiss from her father, love this one!

After some family portraits, the guests were off to the reception.
Meanwhile, Candice and Patrick had planned plenty of time for photos of just the two of them, that we would not have been able to capture otherwise.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!
(Future Brides, please consider allowing plenty of photo time for you and your husband to relax and just be together…trust me on this!  If it’s before the ceremony, after the ceremony, whenever, just be sure to plan for it!  It’s so worth it! Ok, off my soapbox now!  🙂  )

I’m sure Patrick won’t mind my sharing this, only because it is so sweet, I think his new bride would love to hear it…Soon after the wedding, I had been in correspondence with the groom, and he wrote this regarding his newly minted bride: “Thanks again for coming to shoot the wedding…I agree that it was beautiful, my lady has a way of doing that to every day.”

It was so much fun to watch the two of them together, enjoying newlywed bliss…just walking, laughing, kissing, twirling…together.
Patrick is so dashing…one look from him, and she has no choice but to steal a kiss.

A favorite, of course!  Love their wedding shoes!

 Candice, you are beautiful.  Beautiful!

Don’t you love the way Patrick holds her?

They smiled and laughed as they looked the gorgeous new rings that now grace their fingers.
Yesss, we’re married!!!!!

I love their rings, so unique!

Butterflies were everywhere, as if on cue.

Then it was time to head off to the reception to sign the Marriage Certificate!

Candice and Patrick used the same cake knife that had been present at five family weddings since 1972 and several family wedding anniversaries!  What a perfect heirloom!

How could I resist these shoes? And the light?  I just couldn’t resist!

And more photo time with that sweet 1937 Cadillac!

Love this one!

You two are just too sweet together.  I love it!!!

Candice and Patrick, what an amazing wedding!
And what a wonderful circle of family and friends you have around you,
everyone is so sweet and so nice!
Thank you again for letting me witness the love and happiness of your wedding day.
I wish you all the very best!  Congratulations!!!

What a beautiful day it is!  And what a beautiful wedding day Candice and Patrick had!  Blue skies, warm sunshine, smiles and hugs from their closest friends and family, and a little white chapel…what more could you ask for?  Here are just a few images from their day!  Congratulations, Candice and Patrick!  I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon in the Windy City!

Candice’s wedding dress was simply elegant, and it swayed gently in the afternoon breeze.

The card and flowers Patrick sent to Candice the morning of their wedding.
The bride and bridesmaids got ready at the bride’s home.

The beautifully bright flowers were put together by Candice.  Love them!

We had to move quickly, as it was about time to leave for the ceremony!

Meanwhile, Patrick was awaiting his future bride.

Two dapper men! As Patrick glances that way…

…he sees her arrival.

Candice, you are beautiful!

And it’s go time!  Off to the little white chapel!

Just moments before the ceremony begins…
The most adorable little flower girl makes her entrance!

I love this moment just outside the chapel.

Patrick can hardly wait to say “I Do!” as he pulls Candice into the ceremony…Favorite!

Stayed tuned as the whole story of this delightful wedding unfolds!

Words cannot express what a beautifully amazing wedding Kayleigh and Michael had!  Two gorgeous people, inside and out, met in a garden at sunset to promise forever to each other. All I can say is thank you for letting me be a part of your perfectly lovely day.  You have quite an amazing family and such an awesome group of friends.  As I mentioned in their Sneak Peeks (here and here), it was a typical hot and humid Midwest summer day, but that didn’t phase anyone. There are a ton of images coming your way, so get comfortable and enjoy!

The girls started out at the salon. Who doesn’t love getting their hair done?

Grace, Kayleigh’s sister and flower girl, had her long locks curled and ready for an up-do.

The other flower girl, Avery, shares her ipod with Grace.  They both love Selena Gomez!

Grace holding the mirror to show her big sis just how gorgeous she is!

Beth of Champagne & Lipstick did an amazing job with makeup!  (Hi Beth!)

Allyson, the Matron of Honor had an especially fun duty…to cut Kayleigh’s “Bride” tank off
to prevent any damage to her hair and makeup!

Time for the Bride to get ready!
Flower girls passing the time…they had already arm-wrestled, played hide and seek, and watched tv!

Realizing she is a Bride…and today is her wedding day!  Kayleigh, you are so beautiful!

After preparing all morning and afternoon, it was time to venture to Avon Gardens for the ceremony and reception.  And time to see this gorgeous gown!

Butterflies float and soar around the grounds, they can be seen everywhere!
Kayleigh’s fabulous bridal shoes!

Meanwhile, the guys are getting quite dapper, cologne and all!

Bllllllllllling!

 Sparkly bling!

Kayleigh’s Mom helps with her dress.

An embrace from Starla, Mother of the Groom.

Hello, Michael!

I couldn’t get over the perfectly summer florals by Lacey of Weddings by Gillespie Florists.

Matron of Honor, Allyson, and her best friend.
Kayleigh and Amber, who is engaged to Michael’s brother, Daniel.  🙂

Kayleigh and her sister, Abby, and new sister-in-law, Lindsay.

The light in the garden was simply scrumptious!  And Kayleigh’s smile made it even better.

Adorable flower girls, Avery and Grace, and ring girl, Piper.
Kayleigh and Grace share a hug on the right.

Could this be any cuter?!

Love, love, LOVE these flowers!
And the attendants’ flowers and shoes were so perfect!

One last check in the mirror before the ceremony. A favorite!

 Ceremony time!

A look back at her big sister…another favorite.

Kayleigh’s entrance with her father and step-father.

Look at her smile!  I love this one too.

Piper took a moment to rest, after all, it was the hottest day of the year! 😉

What a beautiful day!  And a beautiful golden glow in the garden!

Kiss the bride!

 They’re married!

Another fave!  This was such a happy group, they danced down the aisle!

Wedding Feet. 🙂

 HOORAY!!!

The father of the bride’s speech was perfect. And funny!
He had everyone laughing!

Daniel, Michael’s brother and best man, had a killer speech too.
My favorite part was that together, they were a 2-man WolfPack. And Daniel was thinking
that Kayleigh could be the 3rd in the pack!

A little cake detail. Loved their cake!

I overheard Grace telling these guests that the Bride is her sister as she pointed
to their photo on the table.  She was so proud.
Twirling, twirling.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, Kayleigh and Michael really are surrounded
by so much love. It was amazing to witness the hugs, the laughs, and the emotion of the day.

And their family and friends can get down on the dance floor!  Especially Kayleigh’s dad!

They danced the night away under a fairytale white tent…”all because two people fell in love.”

Kayleigh and Michael, thank you again for sharing your day with me!
Congratulations to you both!
See you soon!

It’s been one of those days, one of those weeks, really, where time seems to fly by at warp speed!  I’ve been so excited to share more images from Kayleigh + Michael’s garden wedding, and I know they are just as excited to see them!  Thank you so much for your patience!  And be ready for a full post next week!  Kayleigh and Michael, you had a truly spectacular wedding!  Thank you for allowing me to document your Big Day!  Here are a few more images!  And I must mention, this was one of the hottest days of the year!  This wedding party didn’t complain once, and they absolutely rocked it out.  Oh, one more thing, the lighting this day was magic.  Pure magic.  Ok, on to the images!

Kayleigh, you are just stunning!   And the flowers were absolutely divine!

The Bling!

Michael and his crew!  (See that magical light? I was in heaven!)
Meanwhile, the girls laughed and chatted in the garden.

Don’t you love their cake?  So colorful and fresh!
