They say that love is a many splendored thing, that it makes the world go round, and that it’s all you need.  I couldn’t agree more!  And that’s exactly why I love doing what I do!  In 2010 I met some truly amazing couples, who allowed me to share in such a special time in their lives, one that is so personal, so intimate, so emotional, so very, very important.  For this honor, I am so grateful.  To all of my couples, I wish you the very best, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for you!  And now for some of my favorites from the past year’s Engagement Sessions, Day After Sessions, and Weddings!

Thank you so much for making 2010 so colorful and enlightening, so fun and full of love!
Spring is just around the corner, and love is in the air!
Ok, ok…enough with the cliches!  It’s so true though! We are due for an early Spring!
P.S. I’m so excited for 2011!

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day for Kayleigh and Michael’s Day After/Trash the Dress session!  After their gorgeous garden wedding over the summer, I was so excited to see them again!  They were still glowing and incredibly happy newlyweds, and best of all, they were ready to rock it for their session.  😉  Here are some of my favorites from our afternoon!

   Beautifully fierce!

Kayleigh, you have such a beautiful smile!

   Love this!  Favorite!

Kayleigh’s tattoo is very special to her.  It’s her Grandmother’s name in Hebrew.
This way, she’s always with her.

Passers-by shouted “Congratulations!” and “Best Wishes!” all afternoon.

I love when a little gust of wind blows by, as if on cue.

You two make one gorgeous pair, oh my goodness!

One of my favorite bridal images ever!
Kayleigh, thank you for trusting in me to make this work, you’re the best!

Michael makes her smile and laugh, and I love it.

   Hot, hot, hot!

It’s so obvious that Michael completely adores his wife.

   Another favorite!

I love how a cute black and white kitty walks into the frame, as if on cue.
I’m quite positive that it’s got something — wait, everything — to do with the
sheer magnetic energy of Kayleigh and Michael.

I love how the city lights cast a warm glow on these two, as if on cue.

Kayleigh and Michael, thank you for making your session so incredibly fun!
You are such a fantastic couple, and I wish you only the very best!

It was a warm early fall afternoon.  Cindi and John arrived with a nervous excitement, similar to how they felt on their wedding day last summer.  They promised to love, honor, and cherish each other on a rainy 4th of July.  And on this day, just like that day, I could feel their connection, only under a bright sunny sky, and I loved it!  We had been planning their Day After session for some time, and I’m so glad we waited for such a gorgeous day!  What a fun excuse to wear a simply gorgeous wedding gown one more time! Cindi and John, thank you for sharing your afternoon with me!  You two are such a perfect pair, so happy and beautiful!  Here are some of my favorites from their Day After session!

I was so excited for the opportunity to photograph Cindi in her beautiful vintage lace gown, remember this photo? Although it had been over a year since their wedding, Cindi’s dress was in immaculate condition, and can now be stored away for future generations.
So sweet, so in love.  Perfection.

Fabulous and fierce!  C + J, you guys worked.it.out!!!

Cindi has the most beautiful brown eyes!  And what a great smile!

Check out John’s ring finger…pretty cool, right?  His job is such that it’s dangerous to wear rings or jewelry of any sort, so he had Cindi’s initial tattooed so he’d always have her close to his heart. Aww!!!
I love how they make each other smile.

A perfectly beautiful afternoon for a perfectly beautiful pair!

A little kiss…

Cindi and John, you two are absolutely adorable together!!!

 Favorite, favorite, favorite!

Cindi, you are gorgeous. Gorgeous!

So beautiful! We had such amazing light for their session.

Cindi and John, you two are so sweet!
Thanks again for making your Day After session so wonderful and so much fun!

So much time and effort goes in to planning a wedding.  Details, coordinating, scheduling, shopping, rings, flowers, shoes, tuxes, cakes, chairs, lights…and the dress!  Leah was a detailed and organized bride.  She knew exactly what she wanted; she had a vision for her wedding day.  However, nothing mattered more than the man who would be standing by her side.  Daniel was the icing on the cake, the pinstripe in the chocolate tuxes, the sparkle in the ring on her finger. Leah’s everything.  And to Daniel, she was even more.  Leah was the one who makes him smile bigger smiles, laugh deeper laughs, and see brighter colors around him as the sun rose one day this summer.  They knew that together, together, they would become something even greater.  Their love would take them to new places in life.  So on this perfect day in September, they vowed to stand by each other’s side sharing a life of faith, happiness, and love. Leah and Daniel, you two are such wonderful people.  I’m so happy to have been there to witness your love for each other.  I cannot thank you enough.  If you missed their Sneak Peek, be sure to check it out here and here.   And now for more from their amazing wedding day!

A gorgeous, gorgeous wedding gown…

And a stunningly beautiful bride preparing for the biggest day in her life.

Leah, you are simply radiant.

The shoes!

Dapper Daniel

Love, love, love their chocolate tuxes.  So cool.

Then it was almost time for the ceremony to begin.

Daniel makes his entrance.

Leah and Daniel’s ceremony was perfect in so many ways.  I loved how members of the bridal party shared heartfelt words about their friends.  The love and true friendship present during the ceremony was very palpable, and felt by all.

Such a sweet and emotional ceremony.

Then it was Daniel’s older brother’s turn to speak.  As I mentioned in Leah and Daniel’s Sneak Peek, they have a tight bond, and it was so sweet to hear his words and to feel their connection.

After lighting their unity candle, they stood on the altar as the music played.  And they shared sweet, whispered words.  It was so cute to watch!

Promising each other forever, with the exchange of vows and rings.

And a kiss!

Just moments after the ceremony, hugs, tears, and smiles were shared.

Leah and Daniel really personalized their wedding day by displaying photos from their engagement session for guests to see.

The candy bar was a huge hit!  As well as cd’s of their favorite songs!  Leah and Daniel, the entire soundtrack to your wedding day was so perfect and so much fun!
The newlyweds cut their cake…

…and toasted to a lifetime of happiness.

And they departed under a beautiful blue sky and a sea of bubbles!

What a fun bridal party! Leah and Daniel are blessed with such amazing friends and family.
They’re also quite stylish.  Love this!

Leah and Daniel planned plenty of photo time for just the two of them, and I’m so happy that they did!  After such a long day of celebrating with family and friends, they were able to finally enjoy some time together.  Just the two of them.  Well, and me too, of course. Thank you, thank you, thank you, L + D, for planning for this extra time…I think you’ll agree it was so totally worth it

I’ve said it more than once, but it bears repeating…Leah, you are beautiful!

Gorgeous!

I love the way Daniel looks at his new bride.

We had amazing light, what a perfect day!

My absolute favorite.  Leah and Daniel, you make a stunning pair.  Love love LOVE this one!

In the moment. Love it.

I love how they just could not stop smiling.

Seriously, could you two be any more amazing?!

Leah and Daniel, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You are beautiful, inside and out, and I’m so grateful to have met you. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both.
Cheers to a lifetime of laughter, happiness, and love!
   Best wishes!

Wedding: Leah + Daniel

A few ago, I posted a single photo from Leah and Daniel’s wedding. Why just one?  Well, honestly, time was short, and there are so many beautiful images from their day that I didn’t want to leave out, and as soon as I saw this one, I knew I had to share it.  Immediately!  Where do I start with Leah and Daniel?  How about from the beginning!  I met Leah and her mother back in January to hear all about the wedding, the details, and her love for Daniel.  As I’ve mentioned before, I absolutely love, love, love weddings!  I love hearing the plans and the excitement from brides and grooms.  And as soon as we met for their engagement session (and here), I grew even more excited for their Big Day!  These two truly share something special.  Leah and Daniel, I’m so happy that our paths crossed.  I wish you all the happiness in the world!  Thank you for allowing me the honor to witness and document such an important milestone in your lives.  So before I get all teary-eyed (ok, too late!), let’s get on to some images!

The weather was absolutely perfect!

Leah’s elegant gown was hung with care by her brother, Phillip – thank you, Phillip!

Daniel loves golf, so I thought he might like this one 🙂

Daniel looking cool, calm, collected, and handsome.
The guys wanted a photo with this sweet Cadillac…yes, please!

Leah and her ‘maids looking positively lovely!

So beautiful!

Beautiful, just beautiful!

 Moments before the ceremony…

All of Leah’s ‘maids were so sweet, so cheerful, so welcoming. Thank you, ladies! You’re the best! 🙂

Unrolling the aisle runner…it’s almost time!

I love the moments between a father and his daughter, always so proud and sweet.
And they meet again, this time to promise each other forever happiness.

I love how they looked at each other during the ceremony, so in tune and present in the moment.
Daniel’s family can’t help but smile when hearing heartfelt words about their son.

The ring bearer took his job very seriously.  🙂

A hug from Daniel’s brother just after the ceremony.

A gorgeous wedding cake!

Since Leah and Daniel’s ceremony was at 1:30 in the afternoon,
we had plenty of time for some fun bridal party portraits.

Married!!! Hooray!!! Love this!

After the reception concluded, we headed off-location for some portraits of Leah and Daniel. Future Brides, I highly recommend allowing a portion of your day for photos of you and your groom! It’s a great time to just be with each other…and for me to capture beautifully fun and romantic photos that otherwise would not have been part of the day’s schedule.
Favorite!

Sweet and tender…

These two love fall, it’s their favorite season, hence a fall wedding.

Leah and Daniel, I can’t wait for you to see more of your wedding images…more to come soon!
