Happy Monday, friends!  I hope you’ve been enjoying a wonderful summer!  Here at our house, we’ve been spending as much time outdoors as possible!  Remington has been catching frogs and learning more and more about them.  One frog keeps coming back to hang out with him, and he’s named her Cutie.  She’s an Eastern Gray Tree Frog.  And we’ve found another kind of frog – a Northern Leopard Frog – who is a quick little leaper!  Emerson loves watching every move that his big brother makes and just turned 19 months!  Where does the time go?!  Speaking of time, just over a year ago, our handsome nephew married his high school sweetheart, Adessa.  Their outdoor wedding was set in a charming spot on the wooded property of Camp Rotary.  The bridal party camped there the days leading up to the wedding to hang out and to decorate and to enjoy the summer and natural surroundings.  And just after their 1st anniversary, I learned that their wedding was featured on Borrowed & Blue!  Be sure to check out their post here!
Adessa and Logan, what a lovely wedding day you had! Â From your gorgeous tea length lace dress to your adorable First Look in the woods to the dance you shared as husband and wife…it was an honor to be a part of it all! Â Wishing you a wonderful anniversary and many, many more ahead! Â Love you both!!!
What a dreamy spring wedding day these two had this past weekend! A year ago on April 1st, he asked her to marry him. She said yes, and a year later they were celebrating with their family and friends on one of the prettiest days we’ve had yet so far! This is simply a sneak peek as I make my way through all of the images from their magical day! Cheers to the newlyweds as they travel through wine country in sunny California! Cannot wait to share more soon!

What a fun event! I participated in the Vendor Open House at the gorgeous wedding and event venue, The Sycamore at Mallow Run! They celebrated their grand opening last summer, and I was so excited to see it during the Vendor Open House late last fall! It is such a stunning environment with wood beams, stone accent walls and fireplace, hardwood floors, large windows, outdoor patio areas, and more! I cannot wait to photograph weddings and portraits in this amazing space set on their vineyard! It was wonderful to meet so many brides and grooms and to hear about their upcoming weddings! Here are a few photos I took during the event that showcase just a hint of how beautiful The Estate Room is for wedding ceremonies and receptions! And as always, JP Parker Flowers provided the oh so pretty florals you’ll see below! Love! Thank you to Hannah and entire staff at The Sycamore at Mallow Run for hosting such a great event!
As you scroll down, you’ll see photos from Trena and Bob’s Mallow Run Winery wedding a few years ago! They had the most romantic misty wedding day, with their First Look in the vineyard…I will never forget it!
Oh, how I adored everything about Annie and Ted’s Historic Ambassador House & Heritage Garden‘s wedding day! It is a truly beautiful hidden gem, offering endless opportunities for beautiful photographs, even in the rain…especially in the rain! To say I was in my happy place would be an understatement! The day was a Midwestern weather masterpiece of sorts. Everything from bright sunshine, to overcast skies, to a light mist and sprinkles, to torrential downpour! However, Annie and Ted, the amazing couple that they are, handled it with grace and humor and pure excitement. Because at the end of the day, rain or shine, they would be married, officially husband and wife. And to them, that was the most important thing, along with celebrating with dear friends and family. Speaking of family and friends, they were so warm and friendly, and they loved spending such a beautiful day together! Annie and Ted, I cannot express how fun and wonderful it has been to working with you over this past year as we prepared for your wedding day! You are a fantastic pair, keeping each other at ease, smiling, laughing, and content. I wish that for you both for all of your days and months and years of walking and journeying hand in hand. Congratulations to you!!! And now for some favorites to tell the story of your incredible day!
A huge thank to my husband, Reggie, for being the best right-hand and second-shooter I could ask for! I love you!!!
They share a love of the water, and had dreamed of getting married at sea one day. It was only fitting that they tied the knot at the Indianapolis Yacht Club, overlooking the docks along Geist Reservoir, with the love and support of their closest friends and family members around them. Mandy and Derek’s story is one woven with love, despite several medical hardships that have come their way. On this hot summer day, with many thanks to Wish Upon A Wedding, they were able to have the wedding of their dreams, without the stress of planning the many details involved! They love each other with their whole heart, and it was felt by every single person who was lucky enough to witness their special day. I met Mandy and Derek and their sweet families for the very first time on their wedding day. However, I was already smitten with them after seeing a short video of their story a few days earlier, so to have them in front of my camera was such a treat! And then to relive this amazing day just a week after their wedding from the videographers’ perspective was awesome! A must-see!
Mandy and Derek, what an honor it was to photograph your wedding day! Aside from being completely adorable together, it is clear that your love for each other is the best medicine. I had so many favorite moments from your day…when the sun shined down at all the perfect
moments, like during your sweet ceremony under the tall trees and then as it set softly along the water for just the two of you. And when you danced together, you held each other close, never wanting to let go. The toasts by two of your best friends that were so very heartfelt. Just to name a few! It was a day that I’ll never forget, and I wish you both all of the happiness in the world!
I would like to thank this incredible team of wedding professionals who made the day flow so smoothly and with so many gorgeous details! It was such an honor and so fun to work alongside you all!
