Photographing senior portrait sessions are definitely a highlight for me! I love the energy, the enthusiasm, the sheer excitement of seniors who are in the midst of their last year of high school and getting ready for graduation day! And this particular senior was a joy and delight to work with! We walked around for a couple of hours, finding the best light, having the best time! And the light…oh, we had THE best light all evening! Marife is our friend/neighbor’s cousin, and she moved here with her sweet sister and dad about a year ago from the Philippines! She exudes happiness with her bright smile, and she is so gracious, kind, and humble. Together with her sister, Melissa, who joined us for the session, well, they are a powerhouse of posing ideas and fun! They made my job a breeze, and I was truly honored to capture this momentous occasion! Marife, congratulations on your graduation, and I wish you all the very best that this life has to offer! So proud of you! It has been nearly impossible to choose these few favorites!!! You are beautiful inside and out, and I can’t wait to see how your bright future unfolds!
Want to know one of the best feelings? When a client recommends me to a friend for their photos! You are the best, Gina!!! I received an email inquiring about her son’s senior portraits. As soon as I read that Nate hoped to have them taken at the horse farm where he works, I was all in! We had the most beautiful early autumn afternoon with sunlight filling the sky. I met Nate and his sweet Mom, Dad, and sister, as well as a number of furry and friendly barn cats and a few grand horses. Nate’s love for animals – as well as music and the great outdoors – was truly evident, as you’ll see when looking through his portraits in a moment. It’s got to be his calm, easy-going, down to earth demeanor, and the fact that he cares for them each and every day! It was so much fun to see him totally in his element, doing what he loves! Nate, thank you so much for sharing your interests with me! This was truly such a one of a kind experience! Wishing you all the best as you wrap up your senior year and follow your dreams! Another outstanding member of the Class of 2021! “By doing what you love, you inspire and awaken the hearts of others.” ~Satsuki Shibuya
When I read Kennedy’s message back in early summer, I was instantly pumped! She wrote to me asking to get photos taken of her and her best friends as a gift to celebrate this special milestone in their lives together – graduating from high school! As we all know, 2020 has thrown us all some curveballs! However, this wasn’t going to get in the way of celebrating not only their many achievements, but also their beautiful friendships! Of course, I was all in, as this young lady and her kind family have been stepping in front of my lens since 2014! I’ve photographed their family, senior portraits for 3 out of 4 of their gorgeous children (can’t wait for K’s turn!!!), and a wedding in 2021 that I’m beyond excited about! I suggested that she have her parents and sister come along for a few portraits to document this special time in Kennedy’s life. And Kennedy’s handsome boyfriend and high school sweetheart, Dalton, met up with us for portraits of the two of them as well. I had the honor of meeting Dalton during Kennedy’s senior portrait session in October. K + D, you two are truly adorable! We worked quickly, under the intense June afternoon heat and humidity in hopes of avoiding the impending thunderstorm, walking the always lovely landscape at Mustard Seed Gardens here in Noblesville. It was all so perfect! Kennedy’s friends are as sweet as she is, and it was so much fun to witness their energy, their giggles, and the bond that they share together. Kennedy, Alyx, Karly, Emily, Caylee, and Jordyn, thank you all so much for being amazing and so sweet! Friendship is one of life’s greatest blessings! Wishing you all the very best as you embark on the next exciting adventure that awaits! Go Hoosiers! Boiler Up!
Enjoy a sneak peek from this oh so fun day! Congratulations to these outstanding members of the Class of 2020!
I was greeted by an adorable and energetic pup named Oliver, as McKinzi and her sweet Mom got out of their car at our first location, the always pretty Mustard Seed Gardens, followed by the historically lovely R.L. Wilson House. We had a perfectly sunny and warm summer afternoon, and we couldn’t wait to get to work! McKinzi is kind, sweet, and beautiful from the inside out. She loves music of all kinds, Tiffany blue and pastel pink and yellow, and has a slight obsession with all things vintage! She has studied jazz, lyrical, and tap dance for 14 years, which is incredible! She plans to be a professional makeup artist, someone who allows people to feel truly beautiful from within. I believe she can do anything she puts her mind to! I wanted her session to encompass elements that were true to her and her style, and, in doing so, we had such a blast! McKinzi, it was an honor to work with you and your Mom to document this momentous time, as you embark on new and exciting chapters ahead! Wishing you all the very best and can’t wait to hear about all that you accomplish! Hugs to you!!! xxoo
Here on the blog, I’ve always mentioned just how much I love senior sessions! Well, here’s another example of why that’s so true! Meet Jack! He’s wrapping up his senior year right now and destined for a bright future! He is one of those people that you instantly feel comfortable with and that you feel is genuinely warm-hearted, caring, and happy. His easy-going, laid back style perfectly complemented the golden autumn afternoon sunshine we had throughout the session. Speaking of weather, Jack aspires to study meteorology. He loves dogs, and I was so excited that he brought along his beloved pup, Savannah! She was such fun to photograph! Jack loves french toast, playing the drums, and video games. We explored a few locations on a beautiful fall day right before my maternity leave, and I cannot wait to share some favorites with you!
