When Meg, owner of The Painted Letter Co., mentioned that she would soon be updating her website, I could hardly wait to work alongside her to create the dreamiest branding session! Her office had been under renovation for a few months, which meant fresh paint, new cabinets, and a gorgeous new desk! Meg has incredible style, so I knew that every detail would be amazing…and, I have to say, she totally knocked it out of the park! Chef’s kiss! The cherry on top was the stunning floral arrangement by Andrea, owner of Bella Sorella Floral Design. It was so wonderful to finally meet you, Andrea! Your florals added the perfect touch to Meg’s lovely office!
It was so intriguing to get a glimpse of a day in the life of this creator, artist, mama of two boys with another little one on the way, and more! Being behind the scenes to see how she works was such a treat! Some tools of the trade Meg uses to run her business include her ipad and Apple pencil to practice her calligraphy (have I mentioned that she is a very talented calligrapher?), a sketchbook to dream and draft her ideas, and a laser printer to name a few! With her laser, she’s able to print on wood, leather and acrylic. She offers a myriad of beautiful personalized gifts, adorable keepsakes, and signage and details for all occasions. She loves adding personal touches to everyday life from designing for her clients to carefully packaging their hand-crafted items.
This was a dream session for a dream client! Meg, you are as sweet as pie! It’s an honor and true delight to document your blossoming business, to chat about kiddos and life, and to quite possibly have way too much fun to call it work! Thank you, thank you!
And now for some of my many favorites from the day! Be sure to check out The Painted Letter Co. for new holiday and baby items launching now!
Happy Spring, friends! Can you believe that it is already March, almost April!? I’ll have to do a separate post soon to catch up on life and personal stuff! However, this post is a special one, one that deserves its own space and time! If you’ve been following the blog for awhile, you may recall portraits of beautiful Sylvia and her lovely products! If not, please allow me to introduce you to sweet Sylvia, her Mom, and her sister, Melissa. Sylvia created Beautifek, her own line of natural, organic lipsticks for all skin tones, and over the years, she has updated the packaging and added to her list of offerings with new colors and ways to combine the vibrant colors for even more variety! She is one of the most humble, kind, down-to-earth people, and as I worked with them in late December, it was such a delight to watch their joy and their bond as mother/daughters/sisters, while their natural beauty shined through in gorgeous smiles and laughter, as well as in quiet moments. It was a dream! I have so many favorites!!! I asked them what they were celebrating for this particular portrait session, and they told me that they have written a book together, which will be published soon, so they needed options for the inside and outside covers! Amazing, right?! I have already requested an autographed copy! Sidenote: I don’t think that I blogged our time in a studio with two gorgeous models or the previous product session I did for Beautifek! Be sure to click the link above for our first portrait session! If you follow along on Instagram, I’m sure you’ve seen images from those times, because they are still some of my favorites!
I can’t think of a better way to end my 2022 client sessions and then to ring in 2023 with a fun, creative commercial session featuring a new product line and pretty new packaging! It was the perfect winter project! And Sylvia allowed me full creative freedom with styling and composition, infusing color and texture, which is always a treat!
To Sylvia, Melissa, and Mrs. B, thank you so much for welcoming me into your lovely home, for bringing so much joy and fun to the session, and for sharing your celebration and success with me! I’m so excited for all that the future holds for you! Hugs!!!
Beauty by the talented Aubree Bolding, featuring Beautifek products!
Met Emily on Tuesday morning for portraits, delivered her Gallery last night, cheering her on always! We had a beautiful morning of sunshine to capture both outdoor and indoor portraits for Emily. She’s earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree and needed fresh headshots for graduation, for her resume, for all the greatness that she is bound for! Emily, it was a joy to meet you and to work with you! Thank you for sharing your day with me, I am so excited for your bright future ahead!
Thank you to Penn & Beech Candle Co. in downtown Carmel for allowing us to use their wonderful space for a few moments! It was the perfect vibe and backdrop for Emily’s portraits!

So many beautiful favorites from last Fall’s Mini Sessions!
It’s amazing what happens when paths cross! She won a portrait session that I had donated to a fabulous hair salon that I have worked with the past several years, G Michael Salon. So when I received her email with her ideas, I was pretty excited! Chayse is a fellow creative who’s combining her love of cinematography and travel. The location she chose perfectly suited her style and personality – sweet, colorful, unique. When she travels, she loves finding eclectic, quirky, and comfortable places to stay, like this adorable AirBnb. Before we knew it, our session had come to an end, and we had so much fun working and sharing ideas that calling it “work” hardly seemed fair. It’s been fun to watch her adventures since meeting, and I can’t wait to see where her wanderlust leads her! Chayse, it was so cool to collaborate with you! Until next time, here are some favorites from the day!
