Meet Cindy and Mark!  These two lead a busy life, a very busy life.  They own and operate their very own accounting firm in Indianapolis.  I had the opportunity to take some new photos for their website, which will be up soon, so be sure to check back here for more details!  While they both work extremely hard, they like to play hard too, as you’ll see with some of their ‘toys’ in just a moment.  They love spending time with family and friends.  A perfect day for them would most likely be spending it in the great outdoors near water, surrounded by tall trees, their children and grandchildren.  Music and faith bind their hearts together.  They love to laugh.  And they’re absolutely adorable together.  Friends and family can view their online gallery here.  Let’s get right to some of my favorites from their session!

I love the way they make each other smile.  Favorites!

They have two sweet pups who just adore them!
Hi there, Mutley!

And hello to you too, Gracie!

Cindy, you are beautiful.  Beautiful!

Another favorite!

Love, love, love this one!

Cindy and Mark, thank you for sharing your evening with me and for allowing me to capture
a slice of your lives together!

In early December, I received an email that made me so excited that I couldn’t sleep that night.  Words like vintage, fascinators, tea, cakes, Victorian, new business, and dreams drew me in.  Especially that last word, dreams.  Before I continue, allow me to explain a few things.  I photographed this gorgeous summer garden wedding last year, and shared some images with the florist, Lacey, because I adored her work.  When we met, I was inspired by her enthusiasm and passion for her work and for life in general.  Little did I know (and I had sincerely hoped) that our paths would cross again.  And it happened just over a year later.  Lacey’s mother, Judy, was starting her own business, and needed photos for her new website and marketing materials.  I was so honored that they contacted me, and we made immediate plans for the session, since the end of the year was approaching.  For she wanted to launch her business to ring the New Year, and my travel schedule was a bit chaotic.  We made things work, and we had such a fun time!

And now, back to that word dreams.  One definition is : “A condition or achievement that is longed for; an aspiration.”  When it comes to starting a business, this definition certainly applies.  However, there’s so much more to it when you feel so passionately about what you want to achieve, what you hope to accomplish, and what you want so much that it consumes you.  Because of Judy’s passion, enthusiasm, and spirit, I know she’s destined for success.  And for her dreams to come to fruition.  She loves to connect with people, to share her stories and theirs, and to make a positive difference in the community.  Tea Time To Your Door allows her to do just that!  Judy, I’m so excited for you and your new business, and I wish you all the success in the world!   Here are some of my favorites from the day!   Cheers!

Delicious desserts and florals in pretty teacups, perfection!

Meet beautiful Judy, owner of Tea Time To Your Door!

Vintage fascinators and accessories add to the Victorian-themed tea events:

Judy’s daughter, Lacey – so gorgeous!
I must say working with Judy and Lacey was so much fun, it didn’t feel at all like work!

Every tea party, and every day for that matter, is just that much sweeter when chocolates, cookies, and cakes are involved!

Charming vintage teacups and saucers, yes please!

Along with fresh floral arrangements and special occasion cakes,
pretty personalized gift baskets are also available.

Tea parties and tea events are for all ages, and such a fun idea for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers, baby showers, girls’ nights, and more!  To end our session, we had a tea party…

… as well as a birthday toast to our lovely model on the left!
Thank you for sharing your birthday with us, Miss J!  🙂

Adorable Miss Neva!
P.S. These are some definite favorites!

They met at a business college years ago in downtown Indianapolis.  They shared the same circle of friends, and after hanging out, realized that they had fallen in love.  He moved to be with her from his hometown farm in northern Indiana.  She loved his witty one-liners and his handsome smile.  He loved her sparkling green eyes and positive outlook on life.  Denny asked Marcie’s father for her hand in marriage, and they wed a few years later.  While overseas in Thailand during the Vietnam War, he wrote her letters every day.  She still has each and every paper treasure.  Earlier this spring, I had the honor of photographing the two of them on a beautiful sunny afternoon.  These two people happen to be very special to me… they are my parents!  And I’m so blessed and so thankful to have their love, support, and encouragement in what I do.  It means so much to me!  They are some of my biggest fans!  Mom and Dad, thank you for being such wonderful parents, and for allowing me to capture your love for each other.  I love you bunches!

I love that they were fun and silly and just themselves during our session.

They also knew how to work it out for the camera. Love both of these!

We had such a pretty spring day with great light!

Mom, you are beautiful.  Beautiful!

My handsome dad!

LOVE!!!

I love, love, love this one!

I asked them to skip along holding hands… and they did, happily!  🙂

Those beautiful, sparkling green eyes!
I’ll end with another favorite.  I love this quiet moment between them.
Mom and Dad, thank you, thank you, thank you for spending this time with me and my camera!  It was so much fun, and such an honor!  Your love for each other is an inspiration to me and to our family.
I love you so  much!

We’re already 20 days in to the New Year!  Last year, I did a post featuring some of my favorites from my 2009 sessions, and thought it would be fun to do it again for 2010!  I truly love my job, and I have to admit that I really do have the best clients!  Each of my clients is unique and wonderful, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them tick.  I cherish the friendships that I’ve made, and feel so honored and grateful to be the one to capture hugs, love, laughter, smiles, and togetherness. Thank you to all of my clients for making what I do so incredibly rewarding. You rock!  Now let’s get on to the images!

Thank you to all of my clients for being so absolutely wonderful!
You are the best!
Stay tuned for 2010 wedding and engagement favorites!

Their love story began years ago in Indiana.  She had lived in Argentina and Mexico before coming back to Indiana to graduate from high school.  During that time, she met him…the one who smiles at her when she’s not looking.  Larry stole her heart, and they married 5 years later.  They have visited countries and continents all around the world, and spent 3 years living in England and 3 more in Hungary.  Now they enjoy the seasons that are so famous here in the Midwest.  I was honored when they asked me to spend an afternoon with them.  Thanks again, Cindy and Larry, for a tasty lunch and a fun-filled day in the sun.  (If you missed their Sneak Peek, click here!)

They laugh often…always a great thing!

 And she loves red tulips!

I love the way he looks at her.
As we strolled around, Cindy told me that they are best of friends.   Love it!

Hi Larry!
A favorite!  It was so sunny and bright, and I love the play of light and shadow we found.
More proof that this couple is cute! I’m sooo glad you guys brought this!
The chair that has become so famous on this blog
belonged to Cindy’s Mother, Tracy’s Grandmother, who is dearly loved and missed.
What a great way to remember someone so very special.
Another favorite!
We made our way to Morse Reservoir, where Larry loves to fish.
And they often bring a picnic lunch to this very spot.  Perfection!
More favorites…I’m allowed to have more than one!  😉
Husband and wife, best friends, a tall shade tree by the lake…can’t get much better than this!
Cindy and Larry, thank you so much for spending the afternoon with me!
You are such great examples of love and friendship.
I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images!
