The day after my husband and I announced on facebook that we’re expecting our first little one, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Cannon and his newborn cousin, Rigby Wilde! And let me tell you, I was SO excited about it! I arrived to a very warm welcome and was instantly smitten with these two little ones and their whole family! Natalie and Jon welcomed their son, Rigby Wilde, into the world on March 21, 2012. He has the sweetest big sister, Scout, and she loves him to pieces. It was such an honor to photograph this family, and I’ve been so excited to share these images! Newborn | Rigby Wilde | 10 days

A few weeks ago, I worked with two sisters and their amazing families. One sister, Megan, along with her husband, Chris, have an absolutely adorable son, Cannon. And Cannon was already excited to celebrate his first birthday, which was April 16th! Happy (belated!) Birthday, Cannon! That ten-gallon hat was such a fun prop!

And look what happened next! Remember all those steps he took earlier with Mommy and then again with Mommy and Daddy? Well, they paid off! Cannon took his first steps – all by himself! – just minutes later! Grandpa had come outside, and Cannon loves him to pieces and just had to go say hi! So cool to see! Have I mentioned how much I love what I do?!

Megan, I may need to ask you to make some of these chaps for me…well not for me to wear, but for kiddos! 😉

And Grandpa got some video of the momentous occasion too! Love it! Another favorite!

Cannon | 1 Year

I’ve been so excited to share images from this adorable family’s recent spring session! You may remember seeing this sweet couple, Sarah and John, on the blog a little over a year ago. They were anxiously awaiting the arrival of their first baby. They had a perfect, beautiful baby girl named Alice Maryella. She turned one this January, and with the early spring weather, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to capture this time in their lives. John, Sarah, and Alice, thank you for sharing your morning with me! You are so sweet, so kind, so fun, and such an inspiration! And I’m so thankful to have you as friends! I’ve been super excited to post more images from this session! You may recall seeing their Sneak Peek on facebook a few weeks ago. I met Julia a few years ago, and we’ve kept in touch since then. And we finally got to connect for an amazing opportunity I had to host a student from IUPUI through their externship program. I had the best student, Sylvia, that I could have asked for – she was eager to learn, inquisitive, friendly, and respectful. We started the day with a Mother + Daughter Session, where Julia and Alaina hugged, laughed, snuggled, and let their inner (and outer) beauty shine for the camera. Thank you both for such a fun session! And thank you to Sylvia for being a fabulous student! And now for some of my favorites!

Mother + Daughter | Julia + Alaina

We had an absolutely beautiful March evening to do some family photos! Spring had just started, and what better way to jump into my favorite season than with a fun family…and their sweet boxer, Toby! We chatted and laughed as we made our way around our location. Time flew by, and our session ended before I knew it. As I packed up my car, I could feel myself smiling. Like a really big smile. Why? Because I had just spent time with a wonderful family who had fun spending time together, allowing me to capture it all for them. And for that I am so grateful. Thank you, Darren, Paula, Mitchell, Daniel, Linda, and Toby – thank you for making me smile and sharing time with me on such a beautiful day! Let’s take a look at some of my favorites from the day!
