What a perfect early autumn evening we had for this sweet engagement session! Due to the nature of their professional lives, their names are being withheld for the sake of privacy. Let’s just call them insanely handsome and gorgeous and beaming from inside out! Fortunately, they didn’t hold back when it came to documenting this oh so exciting time in their lives together! They strolled hand in hand, cuddled and nuzzled, shared sweet nothings, laughed and smiled, and I couldn’t have asked for more! Especially with the warm glow we had all session long! Let’s not overlook their incredible style, as you’ll soon see! And I got to meet their dapper pup! To say he was a charmer for the camera would be an understatement! We were fast friends, and I secretly think he wished he could have been in the spotlight all evening! I have more than a few favorites from our time together, so let’s get right to them! Get excited for their Spring wedding…I know I am counting down the days!
They met online and had their first date along Mass Ave in downtown Indianapolis. Over the course of their first several dates at local breweries, Annie and Ted discovered they both shared an affinity for live music and refreshing libations! Together they love to jog and take walks in their historic neighborhood, to cook and try new foods, and to go on brewery and winery tours, to take in art at museums, and so much more. In short, they love sharing in new experiences with each other.
He loves her sense of humor. His silly dance moves in the kitchen make her smile. And as you’ll see from their images below, they are adorably happy together!
One Saturday morning, Annie asked Ted for a cup of coffee. He happily
brought it to her, accompanied by a ring and a proposal! What better
way to start the day!
We began their engagement session on a sun-drenched fall day at their cozy home with their sweet pup, Onyx. One of their favorite places to hang out when they are at home is on their front porch. After they shared some wine and sweet snuggles in their kitchen, we ventured downtown Indianapolis for more portraits. Settle in for some (ok, several, many!) favorites from our afternoon!
One week from today, my amazing brother-in-law Mike will marry his perfect match and woman of his dreams, Kathy! I couldn’t ask for a more sweet, kind, caring, down-to-earth sister-in-law! Those are just a few words that describe Mike’s bride-to-be! And she makes Mike so completely happy. When they are together, they share little glances. They beam, laugh at each other’s jokes, and smile the biggest smiles. Seeing them share such love and happiness is so refreshing and so wonderful to witness. Mike has been keeping a daily countdown to “I do!” on his Facebook page, and Kathy told me she jokingly said to him that he’s counting down his last days of freedom. All joking aside, Mike assured Kathy that he couldn’t be more excited to make her his wife, and that he’d marry her the very next day if he could! Isn’t that so sweet?! I’m beyond excited for their Big Day! They’ve been planning a beautiful seaside ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family, including Reggie as the Best Man. Have I mentioned that I’m excited?! To celebrate, let’s take a look at some of my favorites from their October engagement session at the historic Morris-Butler House in downtown Indianapolis. Kathy and Mike, it has been such an honor to document and share in this exciting time in your lives! Sooo excited for you both!!!
They met through mutual friends, and quickly became high school sweethearts. I remember meeting my nephew Logan’s girlfriend. She was shy and quiet, but her sweet smile warmed all of our hearts in an instant. And she won over Remington too, of course! Adessa and Logan are the perfect couple! They love spending time together fishing, working out, and enjoying motorcycle rides through the great outdoors. They just get each other. Although their personalities are on the quieter side, once you get to know them and spend more time with them, you see exactly just how amazing they are together, drawing out each other’s best qualities. As you scroll through their images, you’ll notice the way they look at each other. The way they just light up in each other’s presence. All of that, plus the fact that they are downright good looking, makes them an absolute dream to photograph! A couple of years ago, I had the honor of photographing Logan’s senior session. Adessa came along with us, keeping Logan smiling and collected, not to mention styled perfectly. Throughout the day, I captured a few photos of the two of them, and at the end of session, I told them that I’d love to photograph their wedding one day! Logan and Adessa’s birthdays are just a couple of days apart during the Christmas holiday season. They exchanged gifts early, and what awaited Adessa was a sparkling engagement ring! We had another wonderful reason to celebrate during our family holiday dinner! They’ve not yet set a date, but I just know that their wedding day will be absolutely amazing! We met in Noblesville on a gorgeous spring afternoon for their engagement session. Adessa and Logan, enjoy some of my many favorites from the day! Love you both!
It was one of those days at work when a string of unfortunate events happened. A mutual friend – one whom I cannot wait to meet! – had been trying to set them up for awhile. You see, Karen and Shawn work together, just in different areas of the same giant building. Both of them had had a really rough day, and meeting a potential love interest when feeling less than your best can be a bit daunting. Despite her friends’ objections at the time, she introduced them. And the rest, as they say, is history. As they shared their story with me, I proposed that maybe that was exactly how it was supposed to happen. They were like the burst of sunshine each other needed at that very moment on an otherwise very gloomy day. Karen and Shawn are a perfect match. They make each other smile and laugh with their easy-going spirit and sheer comfort in each other’s presence. We ventured out into nature, finding golden yellow signs of autumn all around. And it was a perfectly beautiful day, bursting with oh-so-fitting sunshine. Enjoy some favorites from their engagement session! Friends and family can view their entire online gallery here. Karen and Shawn, I’m so excited for your wedding day!
