A few years ago, if you would have asked me what I’d be doing as far as a career, I wouldn’t have had an answer. Fast forward to now…I’ve got a fancy box that makes fancy images, along with another fancy box that allows me to share them with all of you! Happy 200th Post! Wow! Ok, and to top it off, I have been so incredibly excited to share these next images with you. Oh, Leah and Daniel! Thank you for being so open and trusting and patient! You see, I asked Leah and Daniel if they’d let me try a few new things for their engagement session, and they said yes, without hesitation! Remember that foggy morning I spoke of a few weeks ago? Wellll, after that beautiful fog lifted, we were left with a gorgeous sunrise. Enough of my babbling, let’s get right down to Leah and Daniel’s Sneak Peek!
Last week I had the great opportunity to meet other area photographers for a fun outdoor shoot-around at Holliday Park. The weather was absolutely perfect! And we had an adorable couple to work with as our models, Molly and Jay. Here are my favorites from that evening!
I just love weddings! Being able to capture someone’s wedding is such a rush for me! The details, the love, the families and friends, and the joining of two hearts just makes me melt. Photographing weddings is very challenging, but I absolutely love it. On the day of the wedding I can hardly wait to see the bride and groom and all their planning culminating in rich splashes of color, tears of happiness and joy, and non-stop fun. I love recounting the day’s events with my husband, and he loves to share in my excitement of fulfiling my dreams. It’s because of this joy and excitement that I know I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing in life. I had the honor and privilege of documenting some absolutely beautiful weddings in 2009, and I cannot wait to do more in 2010! Here are some of my favorite images from the past year. Which one is your favorite? I love comments!

He was working at a well-known Mexican eatery when one day this beautiful woman walked through the door. In his own words, Matt said he developed an instant crush. Maybe it was her beautiful brown eyes, her bright smile, her infectious laugh. She was Liliana. And she fell for him too. The stars aligned for these two, who both love life. In just a little over a week, Liliana and Matt will be tying the knot. And I will be one of the lucky people to witness their special day! We spent an afternoon visiting different spots around the city for their engagement session. Despite the heat and humidity, these two worked it out! I had a blast, and am so excited for their wedding on June 13th. Liliana and Matt, I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you. What a fun and fabulous couple you are, and I wish you all the happiness in the world. And now for your engagement photos!
