Earlier this week, I collaborated with an amazing group of people, who’s efforts produced a stunning (and oh so fun!) experience. You’ll be seeing more about this in the coming weeks, however, for now, here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store! The day was nothing short of amazing. And beautiful. Gorgeous. And well worth all of the hard work.
I met Valerie when I was about 7 months pregnant with Remington in the midst of an insane heat wave blasting the Midwest. Reggie and I were part of a car show taking place in the heart of downtown Carmel, and it just so happened that we parked just up the street from Blue House Bridal. I told Reggie I’d be back in a few minutes, and off I went, hoping to meet a fellow wedding industry peer and perhaps to find some cool air! And here we are almost two years later, and besides becoming a wonderful client, Valerie has become a sweet friend of mine. We both have little boys – just 2 months apart! – and we love them both dearly! I’m excited to see them hang out and become great friends over the years! A while back, I stopped by to visit Valerie at Blue House Bridal. I just love her boutique, her dresses, and her passion for her business. I’ve been excited to share more, so let’s just get right to it! Stewart Imagery asked Blue House a few questions to help you get to know them a bit better. For more information, visit their website and connect with them on Facebook.
If you follow Stewart Imagery on Facebook, you probably saw the post regarding the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show at the gorgeous Scottish Rite Cathedral. Well, it was my first bridal show… and it was such a fun and exciting experience! I must start by thanking my wonderfully talented and creative husband, Reggie, for designing and building my booth! I gave him a wish list of ideas, and he made them come to life, and it turned out so much better than I could have dreamed! Countless hours were spent daydreaming, planning, designing, building, painting, decorating, deconstructing, transporting, setting up, and tearing down. With only about 4 hours of sleep the night before the show, we were running on coffee, but more so on the exhiliration that comes with meeting and talking to hundreds of new people in a lively and oh so beautiful environment! Despite the snowy weather, everything came together perfectly. We had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful and excited newly engaged brides and couples and their families. Thank you to all brides, vendors, and friends who came to visit us over the 2 day show!
Their wish was to be married in the presence of those who truly mattered to them, their family and friends. Loved ones traveled from Key West and Colorado and beyond to witness this special day. And this day was quite special for me as well. You see, Andy is my first cousin, and he’s also Remington’s godfather. It was so much fun to have family – and little Remington! – around while Reggie and I documented the day! Jen and Andy’s wedding wish was truly granted as they said I do under the beautiful osage orange tree that resides on the property along the Big Blue River. The green grass and beautiful blooming plants surrounding the family’s cabin made for the perfect backdrop for their sweet outdoor ceremony. Jen had been anxiously checking the forecast for two weeks leading up to the Big Day. Luckily, the rain held off for the amazing ceremony and for all of our portraits. Later as dinner was being served under the grand white tented reception, the rain fell, as if to say congratulations to the newlyweds. The day couldn’t have been more perfect or more them. There was even a proposal during the reception! Congratulations, Holly and Matt! Jen and Andy, it was such an honor to document your first day of married life! I wish you a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness together! Friends and family can view their entire online gallery here.
