If you’re looking for a wedding venue with the perfect combination of industrial style and historic charm to wow your guests, consider the Mill Top! It was originally a flour mill, and has been converted into a unique space to host a wedding or to entertain guests for special events. In fact, there are several unique spaces within, so I’ll take you on a quick tour below! With the industrial style, you’ll notice exposed duct work, decorative iron railings, large windows, original hardwood flooring, and many interesting architectural details. Every time I visit, I see something I hadn’t noticed before! Each space has tremendous potential for amazing weddings, and, of course amazing photography opportunities! Over the past few years, I’ve photographed family and senior portraits, a surprise birthday party, a wedding professional networking luncheon, and The Nickel Plate Arts Gala at this incredible venue, where the staff goes above and beyond to make everything perfect! I would love to photograph a wedding here! And it happens to be located only a few miles from where I live! Win, win! Let’s get to some images, and perhaps you’ll see why I love it so much!
The Mill Top hosted the Perfect Wedding Guide’s first luncheon of 2019 in January with a beautiful elegant winter theme in The Great Room. Because it was a smaller event, they were able to make the large space more intimate with soft draping, which was so lovely! I had the honor of photographing the event for The Mill Top! Many thanks to the following professional vendor team for making the event a success:
Venue // Mill Top
Catering // Jacquie’s Gourmet Catering
Linens // LGI Linens
Florals // The French Tulip
Here is another view of The Great Room without any event set up filling the space, a blank canvas to design your perfect day!
The bar in The Great Room is amazing! During the day, it’s flooded with natural light and a view of surrounding Noblesville. At night, it is its own attraction with cool lighting! (Check out my other post to see how it looks at night!) And I can’t get over these intricate metal doors! One of my favorite details of Mill Top!
The next space I would like to share is The Ballroom. Again, the ductwork is exposed for that industrial flair, along with the mix of wood, metal, and brick throughout. Ceremonies are often performed in here with a straight aisle or with a longer diagonal aisle. How cool would that be?!
This next space is so dreamy! It’s called The Skylight Room, and it boasts several large skylights allowing abundant natural light to pour in! I can envision the sweetest, intimate ceremony in this space!
We’ll wrap up this post with one more space, The Gallery. It is a great area for special events, for hosting cocktail hour on the wedding day, and for sharing hors d’oeuvres during a private party. Not to mention it’s a perfect place for bride and groom portraits! So many amazing details and textures!
Thank you for coming on a brief tour of The Mill Top with me! Stay tuned for more in the future – there are several more spaces to share in this historic venue right in the heart of Noblesville!
It was a day that our families had been anticipating for quite some time! Bryan, my youngest first cousin, had proposed to the girl of his dreams on the steps of the building where they met for the first time, the first day of orientation at the University of Cincinnati. I had the honor of photographing that very special surprise, followed by their engagement session, and now the day that they became husband and wife! It is such a privilege to share in a couple’s wedding day, and, I cannot express how I felt this even more vividly with so many of my family members present! Every detail was planned with the utmost care and purpose, and with Chelsey’s talent for design, each and every guest was in for a treat! Wait until you see the glass prism lanterns that Chelsey and her family made by hand to line the aisle and to light each table! You may have already seen the incredible florals! And each moment of the day was filled with personal touches, from the father of the bride walking his daughter down the aisle, to his officiating the ceremony, to the toasts, to the sweetest dances in history, to the collection of rain in a glass vessel to one day bless their children, to all the hugs, tears, and laughter shared throughout the day! A dear friend of the couple sang during the ceremony, and it was just so incredibly beautiful! My parents happened to be the longest married couple, which filled my eyes with happy tears! And everyone danced and celebrated the night away, until it was time to send the newlyweds off with congratulations and sparklers!
Chelsey and Bryan chose the historic and stunning Monastery Event Center, which stands atop a hill dotted with beautiful homes, grand views, and so much charm. Everything about this venue exudes character and romance, with its architecture and texture (two of my favorite things!) and it was a perfectly magical backdrop for their black and white winter elegance affair. The staff at The Monastery is amazing! They’re a well-oiled machine, keeping everything on schedule while looking absolutely effortless! Kris, thank you, thank you, thank you, to you and your kind team for everything!!!
And now on to the many, many, many images from the happy couple’s day! Chelsey and Bryan, it has been an absolute dream to work alongside you this past year and a half! Thank you for allowing me to share in this amazing day! Wishing you a lifetime of adventure, kisses, slow dances to Shania in your living room, and every happiness that awaits! Love you both! xoxoxo
Many, many thanks to two people who helped me to capture the entire day, my amazing husband, Reggie, and my sweet, talented second shooter, Hannah! You both truly captured so many wonderful images for Chelsey and Bryan, and I am so thankful to have had the two of you there with me!
And to the dream team of professionals who made this day so very beautiful in every way, thank you so much!!!

I am beyond excited to finally share more from this elegant spring wedding! The bride and her group of got ready nearby at a fantastic AirBnb, while the groom and groomsmen donned their tuxes at the church before portraits at Butler University. Erin and Josh couldn’t have put together more beautifully styled details, full of blush and gold, with some shimmer and sparkle, like their love for one another and their amazing family and group of fun friends! Their ceremony took place at the stunning North United Methodist Church, complete with a perfect send off with birdseed as they exited the church doors and stepped into their antique getaway car from Antique Limousine of Indianapolis! Their reception, including cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing, was held at Canal 337 in downtown Indianapolis. I absolutely loved the moody, romantic ambiance that drew everyone in…the candlelight, the blush uplighting, the dark wood features, and a gorgeous, dramatic staircase with crystal and wrought iron chandelier, which you’ll see as you scroll through the images! The bridal party was so fun to work with, and they made my job easy with their humor and willingness to do anything for their dear friends. Erin, I knew you were going to be one beautiful bride, you looked absolutely amazing!!! And, Josh, you were oh so handsome! We couldn’t have asked for a prettier spring day to celebrate their #bestdayever! Their day was also featured on The Black Tie Bride — how thrilling that so many people had the chance to get a glimpse of this love story! E + J, I loved working with the two of you in the months leading up to your wedding day, and I am so honored that you invited me to document and share in this first of many joyful, wonderful times in your journey as husband and wife! Congratulations to you!!!
Thank you to this fabulous team of professionals who made the day flow effortlessly with such grace and style!
