Just had to share a quick few from last weekend’s garden wedding! More to come soon from Kayleigh + Michael’s gorgeous sunset garden wedding! The newlyweds are enjoying their honeymoon in Jamaica right now…hope they are having a blast!
It often seems that little girls dream of marrying their Prince Charming on a sunny summer day in June. After all, summer boasts beautiful botanicals, blossoming trees, gentle breezes, and romance. Now it was time for this young woman’s dream to come true. Although this particular summer day began with drops of rain and a misty haze, as the time drew near for Molly and Carl to promise forever to each other, the sun broke through the clouds and blue skies were seen for miles and miles. A beautiful day for this beautiful bride and her Prince Charming was nothing short of amazing. Their family and friends smiled warm smiles and shed happy tears for their loved ones in a stunning church on a sunny summer day in June.
Just a quick Sneak Peek of a lovely June wedding between Molly and Carl! Light sprinkling rain in the morning turned into sunshine and blue skies in the afternoon, a perfect day for a perfect wedding! More to come soon!
I just love weddings! Being able to capture someone’s wedding is such a rush for me! The details, the love, the families and friends, and the joining of two hearts just makes me melt. Photographing weddings is very challenging, but I absolutely love it. On the day of the wedding I can hardly wait to see the bride and groom and all their planning culminating in rich splashes of color, tears of happiness and joy, and non-stop fun. I love recounting the day’s events with my husband, and he loves to share in my excitement of fulfiling my dreams. It’s because of this joy and excitement that I know I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing in life. I had the honor and privilege of documenting some absolutely beautiful weddings in 2009, and I cannot wait to do more in 2010! Here are some of my favorite images from the past year. Which one is your favorite? I love comments!
A few weeks ago, we drove up to the Windy City. Reggie’s niece was getting married, and so we ventured north along with Reggie’s Mom and brother, Mike, who would be walking Tricia down the aisle the very next day. We arrived sans problem at our hotel and got ready for the rehearsal. As soon as we pulled into the St. Luke’s parking lot, I knew it was going to be beautiful. This was one of the most stunning churches I’ve ever seen! Gorgeous wood-work, colorful stained glass, higher than heaven ceiling, and a perfectly long aisle for our perfectly sweet niece! I took photos just for fun, as she wanted me to enjoy the day with our family. Tricia and Joe, we are so happy for you! Such a beautiful couple, inside and out. Hope you enjoyed Mexico! Here was their Sneak Peek!
After being a bit nervous all day that everything would go smoothly (which it absolutely did!), the Bride is ready…
Love the big grin on Joe’s face as they meet at the altar!
The cantor had such a wonderful voice.
Later during the ceremony she sang Ave Maria, that song always gets me,
and this day was no exception!
At last, they exchange vows and rings!
When Tricia said “I Do!”, Joe breathed a sigh of relief and said, “Thank you!” It was so cute!
