Lyndsey and Matt had a beautiful fall day for their wedding.  A bright blue sky and endless sunshine added even more warmth to a day already bursting with love, joy, and pure excitement.  Surrounded by their family and friends, Lyndsey and Matt promised to spend the rest of their days making each other happy.

They both knew they were blessed to have such caring families, and to have found each other – true love – added that extra touch of sweetness to their lives.  Their story began years ago, where they ran in the same circle of friends in high school.  Little did they know that soon after, and miles apart at college, that their hearts would one day be bound together in love.  Forever.

Lyndsey and Matt, from our first meeting, I could see that sparkle in your eyes when you’d talk to each other and talk about your plans for the future.  I’m so excited for you both, and I wish you all the happiness you could ever hope for.  Thank you for sharing this special time with me, it was truly an honor to document it.  Family and friends of Lyndsey and Matt may view their online gallery here.

The day started at Fishers United Methodist Church.

Lyndsey couldn’t help but smile the entire day.

You were a stunning bride, Lyndsey, just beautiful.

Ok, so perhaps I went a little overboard with bridal portraits…can you blame me?

These two knew how to work it for the camera.  Fierce and fabulous, I love it!
Once Lyndsey and her bridesmaids were safely hidden away, it was time for Matt and his crew
to rock out some portraits.

Meet Cooper, the handsome ring bearer.

Mother of the Bride, Connie, and her son, Andrew share a hug in the aisle just before the ceremony begins. I love moments like this!
Matt sees his bride for the first time!

Sunlight streamed in through beautiful stained glass, so beautiful!

It’s official!
So happy together!

Their first few moments alone as husband and wife.  One of many favorites from the day!

Lyndsey and Matt, I’m so thankful that you planned this special time before your reception for portraits of just the two of you.  The light and scenery on the River Glen Country Club grounds were amazing, and the two of you made it magical.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

See what I mean, magic!  Another favorite!

I could have kept Lyndsey and Matt outside all evening for photos, but alas, it was time for the party to start!  Their gorgeous wedding cake was a delight to photograph!

Matt kept this military coin in his pocket the entire day, in honor of their friend serving in the military oversees.  What a great way to incorporate someone so special to them!

Smiles, tears, and laughter during the evening’s toasts.

Lyndsey’s Grandfather sang them a song, and everyone sat in awe listening to his voice.

Time to cut the cake!

And then a sweet first dance…
Watching her daughter dance with her father:

I love how Matt and Lyndsey make each other laugh, especially during the garter toss!

The bride and groom and all their wedding guests kept the dance floor packed all night!  It was the perfect party to celebrate a perfect day!

Lyndsey and a sweet embrace from her Grandmother.

From the first song to the last, this crowd knew how to party!

A sweet send-off for wedding guests at the end of the evening!

Matt’s brothers and friends wrap Lyndsey with their flag:

I’ll end with this image because it sums up the day… the joy, love, and friendship that surround Lyndsey and Matt as they start this new chapter of their lives together:
Oh Lyndsey and Matt, what a wonderful day you had!  I’m so happy that you chose me to document this moment in your lives!  You are the epitome of the perfect couple; the way you treat each other with love, kindness, and respect is really beautiful to witness.  I absolutely loved meeting your friends and families, all so sweet and welcoming and tons and tons of fun!  Thank you for entrusting this honor to me!  I can’t wait to see you again soon!

Their day had finally arrived.  The day they didn’t know they had both been dreaming of since the beginning, since they met, perhaps even before then.  Trena and Bob both share a love for life, for joy that comes from helping others, for happiness that comes from being with family and friends.  Most importantly, they love each other.  Their connection is deep and palpable.  Shared glances, bright lingering smiles, their warm hugs, not wanting to let go one second too soon.  Just like that line in that one movie, they complete each other.  And so on a perfectly sweet, misty, romantic Friday in September, they promised a lifetime of love, joy, and happiness with each other among their family and closest friends at Mallow Run Winery.  While some loved ones watched from above, there is no doubt that they too danced with joy at their union.  Trena and Bob, thank you for entrusting me to capture this wonderful day.  It was absolutely perfect and beautiful, just like your love.  I wish you a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and hugs that don’t end one second too soon.  Friends and family, please feel free to view Trena and Bob’s online gallery here

I just loved photographing Trena’s gorgeous wedding gown!

Don’t you just love her shoes?  I do!
As if Trena and Bob weren’t sweet enough already, as soon as I saw their rings and heard the story behind them, I melted.  Bob had written a love poem to Trena, and as a surprise, Trena had some of her favorite lines engraved on the middle section of Bob’s wedding band.  More on this in a moment…
I’ll admit, I had tears in my eyes at this early point of the day!  (P.S. I love my job!)
“A lifetime of this beautiful mess…”

Meanwhile, in the vineyard, Bob waited with excited anticipation to see his bride-to-be for the first time on their big day:

They spoke to each other through the vines as Trena made her way to him, all smiles, of course.
 I love this sweet moment!

Trena could hardly wait to show Bob his wedding band…he loved it!
Thankfully, the rain held off and gave us plenty of time for photos of this beautiful pair.

Trena, you were a stunning bride!  Soooo pretty!

Beautiful, soft light filtered through the leafy vineyard.
One of my favorites from the day!
P.S. I love, love, love that Trena and Bob opted for a First Look at the winery.  Not only did it allow us plenty of time for photos of the happy couple (and some alone time), we also didn’t have to worry about capturing these in the fast-fading daylight after the evening ceremony along with family photos… all while praying to evade the threat of rain that was forecast for the day.

When I showed this to Bob on the back of my camera, he was shocked.
Yes, Bob, you really are that handsome! 🙂

 Simply beautiful.

Gorgeous florals by JP Parker Flowers.

Then it was time to head off to the ceremony before coming back to the winery for the reception!

Minutes before the ceremony, Bob and his two favorite guys, his sons, Ben and Zack.
Ben and Zack lit the candles to start the ceremony.
For anyone wondering if a First Look takes anything away from the groom seeing his bride walk down the aisle, I think this photo proves that it absolutely does not!  Bob couldn’t take his eyes off of Trena!
Trena’s younger brother, Sean, walks her down the aisle.

Married!  A sweet kiss makes it official!

Two of the most handsome young men in suits!
A few more photos of the newlyweds before the evening light fades…
 Love is…beautiful.
Mallow Run Winery has a great outdoor space that is covered, in addition to their wide open grassy area just down the hill on the other side of the patio.
Trena made the centerpieces using images from their engagement session!  She collected corks over time to use as perfect photo displays.  So clever and creative!  It’s so cool when couples incorporate personal touches!
They also incorporated a very special cake server and knife…the very ones used at Trena’s mother and late father’s wedding years ago.

 Another favorite.  The first dance.

Aside from becoming husband and wife, Trena and Bob wanted nothing more than for their guests to relax and enjoy a night of food, music, dancing, and celebrating.  And they did just that, all night long.

All the kids kept the dance floor jumpin’!

Name that tune!  What song are these guests dancing to?  Leave a comment with your answer!
C’mon, this is an easy one! 😉

For each wedding in the family, Trena’s mom creates a custom quilt from squares signed by wedding guests.  What a wonderful idea!

Now for those of you who know Sean, you know that he’s quite the speaker, especially at weddings.  He’ll make you laugh, cry, and laugh some more.  His words are always sincere, always heartfelt.  Here he was saying something to the effect that Bob better take good care of his sister and mentioned something about having an invoice… You had to be there, I suppose!  Just look at the reactions from Bob, his wife, Kristen, and other guests!  Sean spoke at my wedding, and we love him dearly!

And then he toasted the happy couple!  Cheers!

At the very end of the night, one last slow song played, and Sean asked his beautiful sister for a dance.  It was the sweetest thing to watch.  Good thing no one could see my tears behind my camera!

Trena and Bob, thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to share such a very special day with you.  Your families and friends are truly wonderful and welcoming and kind, and I’m so glad to count you all as friends.  Your day was beyond perfect in every way.  I’m so very happy for you both!  Can’t wait to see you soon!
P.S. Thank you to my husband and best friend, Reggie, for all of his help on this day!  I love you!

With the heatwave that has been hovering over the Midwest this summer, I was wondering if we might possibly melt during Jenny and Eric’s Day After session.  Although after their perfect Plum Creek Golf Club wedding day just two months earlier, I should have known that the weather would follow suit, if only for these two amazing people.  Jenny and Eric have that special quality that attracts people to them.  They radiate happiness and positivity.   And it’s contagious.  In a good way.  It was evident at their wedding, and that same feeling followed us throughout this session.  I left the session smiling and singing my favorite songs all the way home.  Jenny and Eric, I’m so glad we met, and I’m even more glad that we got to spend more time together for some fun with your adorable pup, Miss Vivi!  Thank you for being so wonderful, and for inviting me into your lives.  I’m so excited for your future together!   And now for a few of my favorites from your session!

The beautiful newlyweds, Eric and Jenny!
I loved creating the florals for the session!

Please allow me to introduce one of the sweetest dogs ever…Miss Vivi!

One of many favorites!  Vivi, you are quite a natural in front of the camera.
Have your people call my people.  😉

Jenny suggested wearing her After Party dress during the session.  Paired with her fabulous shoesBrilliant!

These two know how to work the camera, and I love them for that!

 Jenny, you are just b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.

Wowza!  See what I mean?  Work it out!!!

Love these two!
Jenny and Eric have two of the best smiles I’ve seen.

I remember squealing as I took this photo.  Don’t you just want to hug them?

As you can see, Vivi is absolutely loved and adored by Jenny and Eric…and now me too!  🙂

After a wardrobe and location change, we were ready for more!
P.S. Another favorite.

Love, love, love this one!
 Hello, Miss Vivi!

We were blessed with amazing light during their entire session.

Remember when I mentioned I had several favorites?  This is another one.

Having such a wonderful couple, amazing light, and a cool location, I couldn’t help but say,
“Just one more!  Ok, just one more!”  My end of the session favorite. 🙂

Jenny and Eric, thank you, thank you, thank you!  You two are sincerely sweet, fun, and wonderful people.  Thank you for an amazing session!  A huge thank you to Lisa, Jenny’s Mom, for all of her help!  I’m so glad you could be a part of this session!  And hugs and kisses to Miss Vivi for being such a sweetheart!  xo
