Last week I had the joy of meeting one of my favorite photographers in Detroit, Michigan! Niki Marie Photography graciously hosted a Content Day in her brand new studio, and, I jumped at the chance to be a part of a day filled with creativity, inspiration, and education by some of the best in the wedding industry, alongside fellow photographers from Michigan and Ohio! I cannot wait to share more from this gorgeous day soon, because every detail was beyond lovely! And our models, Lily and Tanner, who are married and madly in love IRL were the best! It’s a dreary, misty January day here in Indiana! So let’s liven things up with some of my favorite bridal portraits captured in one of the dreamiest bridal suites I’ve seen, located at the gorgeous Iron Manor near Houston, Texas! It is spacious, light and airy. One of my favorite details are the beautiful arches of inlaid brick. Not pictured is the rest of the suite with a mirrored wall, counter, and chairs that are perfect for hair and makeup styling, as well as a seating area with couches and a coffee table. This particular part of the day was overcast, providing even, natural light under the glass dome! As you’ll soon see, a part of the suite was designed with lovely pops of pink and purple florals, candles, and the perfect pink loveseat! What a perfect space for a stunning bride to prepare for her walk down the aisle!!! Tip: Brides, be sure to include a bit of time on your wedding day for some bridal portraits! It’s amazing what can be accomplished in 5-10 minutes! 15-20 minutes would be ideal to allow for a variety of relaxed portraits! Let’s take a peek, shall we?

09.29.23 Simply the best! Carly and Shane, you had the most incredibly beautiful wedding day! A true reflection of the love and joy you bring to all who know you, what an honor it was to be present in such a magical place with your wonderful and fun family and friends! You’re both so kind and generous with your time and with your hearts, and it showed in each and every way you surprised and delighted your guests throughout the day—from sweet treats and scarves to your unique entrance and that captivating first dance—I’m certain that I’m not the only one who didn’t want the night to end! Autumn-hued florals and details, candlelit tables adorned with gold accents and lavender scented favors, a live band, and dancing the night away! So much thought and consideration was put into every detail ensuring their beloved guests enjoyed the day! It was the best day! What an honor to have been there! When I saw *this* outdoor space at the gorgeous, Iron Manor, this past Spring….Wow, I was in awe! What a fun, beautiful, unique, and open space this is! The colorful pinks, blues, and yellows popped even more on this slightly overcast morning, and you can’t even tell it was a little misty too! The wrought iron details in the windows, the light fixtures, and the vertical beams brought the perfect industrial chic elements to this architectural style. And I am absolutely head over heels for it all! I’m going to let these next few images do all of the talking! What do you think? Do you love this space as much as I do?

What a fun and gorgeous summer wedding day for Shanda and Tom in the heart of Columbus, Indiana! Wow! Every detail fit them perfectly, as you’ll see by the vibrant palette, glowing smiles, and tropical touches! Their families and friends gathered around them and surrounded them with so many hugs and heartfelt wishes in such a beautiful way! It was the best celebration! After wedding prep at Hotel Indigo along with a First Look, we traveled to Shanda’s family’s lakeside home for portraits before going to the ceremony. Shanda’s relatives are founding members of the church, so it is so very special. The reception space was transformed into a sea of florals including monstera leaves, garden roses, orchids, hydrangeas, hanging amaranthus, and so much more! Guests were enchanted and mesmerized! Shanda and Tom, I can’t thank you enough for inviting me to be alongside you as you prepared for this amazing day, it has been such an honor! Wishing you the best time on your honeymoon in French Polynesia and Tahiti! Enjoy a sneak peek of this wonderful day!
