We’re already 20 days in to the New Year!  Last year, I did a post featuring some of my favorites from my 2009 sessions, and thought it would be fun to do it again for 2010!  I truly love my job, and I have to admit that I really do have the best clients!  Each of my clients is unique and wonderful, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them tick.  I cherish the friendships that I’ve made, and feel so honored and grateful to be the one to capture hugs, love, laughter, smiles, and togetherness. Thank you to all of my clients for making what I do so incredibly rewarding. You rock!  Now let’s get on to the images!

Thank you to all of my clients for being so absolutely wonderful!
You are the best!
Stay tuned for 2010 wedding and engagement favorites!

Senior Sessions are so much fun, I just love them!  I’ve met some fantastic young people this year, who proudly represent the Class of 2011, and this next one is no exception.  To describe this senior, Charlotte, in a word…beautiful.  She is absolutely beautiful!  Inside and out.  She’s fun, full of spirit, down to earth, determined, athletic, fashionable, intelligent…I could go on and on.  I’ll let the following images do the talking! 😉

One of my (many!) favorites from Charlotte’s session!

Fierce! (In the best possible way, of course.)

While getting to know Charlotte, I learned that she loves hanging out with friends, reading, listening to all kinds of music, writing, drawing and painting.

I clearly remember screaming with excitement while
taking this one, probably exclaiming something like, “Charlotte, are you kidding me?!?!
Clearly, she was not kidding. At all!  I told you she was beautiful!
Another favorite…clearly. 🙂

During the session, I would show Charlotte and her Mom some images.  I think we would all agree these next two are ‘so Charlotte!’  Love them!

Such a natural beauty, seriously.
Another favorite.

Love this one!
Despite the cold and wind, Charlotte rocked it out!

Charlotte is a lacrosse player, so naturally we wanted to incorporate this part of her life. I know it’s a tough sport, so I really admire you, Charlotte!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Charlotte, for spending the afternoon with me!  What a fun session! You have so much going for you, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds for you!
Best wishes and enjoy your Senior year!
P.S. A big thank you to Charlotte’s Mom and to my Mom for all their help! Moms are the best! 🙂

Meet Bryan, Senior Class of 2011!  We had the perfect fall afternoon for his Senior Session!  It was such a fun day, and quite special to me because Bryan is my cousin.  I remember when he was born, when I felt strong because I could lift him with straight arms…then the next thing I knew, he was taller than me and could beat me at arm wrestling and just about any game that we played!  I absolutely love my family, and I’ve been blessed with 3 amazing cousins, all boys, who are all super talented, athletic, intelligent, witty, caring, humble, down to earth, and handsome.  Bryan is one of the three, and I’m so proud to call him my cousin and friend.  It was truly an honor for me to take his senior photos, and I’ll never forget it.  Bryan, here is your Sneak Peek, with many more to come soon!  Best wishes for a Happy Fall Break!  And good luck this weekend at your college visit…I’ll be cheering for you!

Bryan has a great smile.  I love this one.

And he can be serious too.  He rocked his entire session…I have so many favorites!

What a great smile…and those eyes!

Favorite! 🙂

Some passers-by thought I was crazy to be out in the middle of the street…it was worth it!

Bryan loves baseball, and is one heck of a pitcher.  If I remember correctly, he’s throwing in the high 80’s and keeps getting faster and faster.  Very impressive!
As I  mentioned, my cousins are great at everything they do.

This one was Bryan’s idea…and I just love it.
We got to be on the field for these, which was pretty cool.

Bryan, thank you for such an awesome afternoon!  It was so fun to hang out!
I’m so proud of you!
And a special thank you to Bryan’s personal stylist and my two assistants – you guys are the best! 😉

Life is a series of moments, of learning, of milestones.  One of those milestones that is so exciting, so full of anticipation and promise, is being a Senior in high school!  Some aren’t quite sure of their future direction, and some are very sure.  Alex is one of the latter.  He’s got his eyes set on the sky, as one day he’s going to be a pilot, perhaps a commercial piolot.  He’ll be joining the Air National Guard upon graduation, and I could see the excitement and determination in his eyes.  It’s so refreshing to hear that he wants to make a difference and go for his dreams.  He has a keen interest in history, flying, fishing, and traveling, as well as tremendous respect for those who serve and have served this great country of ours. So it made perfect sense to incorporate this into his session.  Let’s get right to the images!  If you missed Alex’s Sneak Peek, you can see it here!

Alex totally rocked his Senior Session.  To me, this looks like it came out of a magazine.

At this particular point in the session, the sun was blazing. And there were several passers-by curious about what was going on…from behind the glass of their air-conditioned vehicles, of course.
We laughed and said that Alex was not signing any autographs at this time,
since he was busy working it out for the camera. It’s so true!

Alex has a deep appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship of the Monument.

I really think that Alex could be a model if he wanted to…he’s got the “Blue Steel” look down!
(Sidenote: If you want to see a funny movie all about “Blue Steel” and modeling,
be sure to check out Zoolander with Ben Stiller!)
Seriously though, not everyone can pull off a serious look, and Alex nailed it.

Another favorite!
Ok, yes, another favorite.  It’s so hard to decide!

I had so many favorites from Alex’s Senior Session…especially these next two!
The light during our session was a cool mix of sweet, bright, and soft, which gave us so
many great looks.  Couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Before our session, I had asked Alex what words best describe him: Quiet, Leader, Mysterious.
I think the following two images are so telling of his words.  One word I would add: Determined.

Alex, I wish you all the best during your Senior year!
I hope you enjoy every moment, and I know you are destined for a bright, rewarding future!
Good luck!

It’s been a hot, sunny summer, and Class of 2011 Senior, Alex, totally rocked his Session!  Watch for more to come soon!  You won’t want to miss it!

Class of 2011!
Meet Alex, a future pilot with big dreams.
(An early favorite here!)

Despite being quiet in nature, Alex knew how to work the camera.

See what I mean? Wow!  Look at those eyes!  I think J.Crew may be calling you, Alex!
Another favorite!

Stay tuned for more from Alex’s Senior Session…coming soon!
