2009 Favorites: More Portraits

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to work with some of my photography friends and an aspiring model. This beautiful young lady has dreams of hitting the runways, and I think she’s off to a fantastic start. Best of luck to Brittany, and thank you for the fun session!

So fierce!

This is one of my favorites! I imagine this for a perfume or clothing ad. What do you think?

Umm, I think Tyra will be calling you soon, Brittany! A.N.T.M.!!!
(That’s America’s Next Top Model!)

Despite the heat, Brittany worked it out! We had so much fun with her wardrobe and accessories, especially her shoes!

Sweet smile, sweet shoes.

Workin’ it, yes!

Wishing you much happiness and success, Brittany!

For years, a certain chef dreamed of opening his own restaurant. Everything would be cooked to culinary perfection…on a grill! Dreams do come true! And I am so happy to announce that Chef Mike’s Charcoal Grill is officially open for business! Chef Mike Atherton is a Certified Executive Chef. He serves as a member of the American Culinary Federation, and was awarded Chef of the Year in Indianapolis. He’s full of energy – he enjoys running, playing softball, and umpiring. And, of course, he is an awesome chef! In addition to all of this, he is a great family man. He is the father of one of my dearest friends, Audrey.

I had the honor to visit Chef Mike’s Charcoal Grill just a few weeks ago. I must say the food is delicious! I had the Mini Burger from Hell. I highly recommend this mouth-watering delight. Bring on the jalapenos and Havarti cheese!

This restaurant was formerly Gallahads, and under Chef Mike’s direction, has become a beautifully polished, family-friendly establishment. Great food, friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, what more could you ask for? Check out their website for all of the details, menus, daily specials, and more!

Meet Chef Mike!

Pizzas, salads, burgers (and mini-burgers pictured here), soups, and more!
Is your mouth watering yet?

Beautiful wood bar

Big screen tv scores major points with any sports fan!

Comfy booths line both sides of the restaurant allowing casual conversation for quiet meals and family gatherings alike.

I was so excited to work with one of my best friends a few weeks ago. I’m truly blessed to be surrounded with such genuine, fun, compassionate people. Audrey is no exception. She’s a kindergarten teacher, truly dedicated to enriching the lives of our future generations. Reading is a passion of hers as well. Every time we chat, she’s just finished a book and started a new one. (Thanks for introducing me to the Twilight saga!) Audrey loves health and fitness, and runs several times a week with her sweet dog, Stella. Again, I have Audrey to thank for getting me into running. Together we have run in 2 Mini-Marathons and finished 1 mini-triathlon. Besides her talents and gifts, such as playing the piano, scrapbooking, and being a great listener, Audrey is a true friend, and a beautiful person. And so without further adieu…

You may remember previous posts for Audrey and her husband, Phil, and their dog, Stella.

Audrey’s house is beautiful…I love this hallway!
And the natural lighting we had this day was perfect-o!

It’s rare that Audrey is not smiling, but I love the quietness of this one.

One of my favorites!
Audrey, thank you so much for all of your
support and encouragement, it really means a lot to me.
See you soon!

I have been waiting ever so patiently for this shoot! We tried this a few weeks ago, but it was just too muddy at this location. Reggie was a great model, he just made it look so effortless. Here are some of my favorites.

Thank you, Reggie, you are the best! Love ya!
P.S. I’m the luckiest woman in the world.
