Happy New Year! As 2014 begins, I’d like to take a look back at some favorite images from 2013. This past year was a truly fantastic one! I had the honor of working with previous wonderful clients as well as meeting amazing new ones! I love my job, and I feel so very blessed and thankful to continue realizing this dream of mine. Exciting things are in store for Stewart Imagery in the coming months, and I can’t wait to share them with you! For now, let’s take a quick look at some favorite moments from 2013. It was so difficult to choose just one image to represent a session – you know me, I always have several favorites within each post! In no particular order, here we go!
It is Christmas Eve, and I’ve been snuggling and playing with my little guy all day! He’s just settled in for a Christmas Eve nap, so there’s wrapping to be done! We look forward to attending Christmas Eve Mass and hearing our favorite holiday carols and feeling the magic and spirit of this season. We’ll be spending time with family, and we’re excited to see Remington really take in all that’s around him.
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas, filled with glad tidings and good cheer!
It has been a while since I blogged photos of my sweet baby boy, Remington! He is now a walking, almost running 15 month old toddler, who loves chasing Lucy and Lola around the house! Reggie and I never realized just how much joy he would bring to our lives! Remington is a sweetheart, he loves to cuddle and play and knows just how to flash those sparkling blue eyes of his to make me melt! Here are some favorites from the quickest of sessions right around Halloween and during the peek of fall at 13 months old. I was determined to get one – just one! – family photo! Luckily, the stars aligned and we got a few on a beautiful November afternoon! That meant I could check Family Holiday Cards off my to-do list! Hooray!
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday! We’ll be spending the day with family, enjoying some delicious food, playing some games, and watching Remington toddle all around chasing Lucy! Sounds perfect to me!
This past year has been a great one for my business, and I’m so thankful for all of my wonderful clients, as well as family and friends, who continue to support this dream of mine. I truly love what I do, and I count my lucky stars to feel so passionate about my career. There are some exciting things in store for Stewart Imagery in the coming months… I look forward to sharing more on this soon!
For now, I just want to take this time to be thankful. Thankful for a wonderful husband. Thankful for our sweet son who makes us laugh and smile each day. Thankful for our loving family. For our friends. And for Lucy and Lola who endure singing baby toys, high-pitch squeals, and playful tugs on whiskers and ears from their little brother. Thankful for another day to enjoy this amazing thing called life.
Happy Thanksgiving!
This Sunday, our sweet little boy, Remington will be 1! It seems almost like yesterday that we held him for the first time at the hospital, brought him home, and became a family of 3! Time has flown by since then, and I can hardly believe that my baby boy will be 1! The past few weeks have been a bit emotional for me, I think because he’s been this tiny being who needs his Mommy and Daddy for everything. And now he’s becoming a bit more independent. He’s thiiiiiiis close to walking. We count 6 teeth in his little mouth, with more on the way. I’ve been rocking him longer before naps and bedtime, just to soak in those precious moments of cuddling, little giggles, and nuzzles into my lap. I will always treasure these fleeting moments. The way he waves and smiles at others around him, in turn making them smile and coo – whether it be in church on Sunday mornings, in the produce aisle at the grocery store, and just walking down the street in our town – makes me burst at the seams with pride. I don’t think I could have ever imagined just how much joy he brings to this world. I’m so lucky and beyond blessed to be his Mommy. And just like that, I’m in a pile of tears thinking about it all! So this is what it feels like to be a Mom, to love a child so deeply, to feel complete. Before Remington came into our lives, other parents would tell me this and try to explain it, to somehow put into words the profound experience that is called parenthood. Pretty amazing stuff. Definitely amazing stuff.
We’ve been preparing for a party to celebrate his big day with family and friends…which reminds me I still have some last-minute items to finish up! A little grocery shopping. A little painting. Choosing a birthday gift. Yikes! I didn’t want to go crazy (who doesn’t love all the totally fabulous ideas on Pinterest!), but I do want to make it a special occasion. After all, I hear the first birthday party is more for us parents anyway. Plus, this may be the only birthday party where I get a say in the theme, right?! While I do plan to take some photos, I want to just watch him enjoy the company of family and friends and soak it all in. His 1 year session will take place soon after the party! Be sure to stay tuned for that! Until then, here is a small collection of some of my favorite images of my son over the past 11.99 months!
Remington, we love you so very much! You fill our days with smiles and laughs and sweet moments too. Wishing you a Happy 1st Birthday with love! xoxo, Mommy + Daddy + Lucy + Lola
