How did I forget to blog photos from Remington’s 1 year session?!  Everyone told me that once you have children, time flies by even faster…I’ve come to realize that everyone was so right about that!  We celebrated Remington’s first birthday with our family and close friends, and it was the perfect day!  We had beautiful sunshine and a nice breeze.  Remington got a highchair that he “helped” us pick out that day, and he absolutely loved sitting in it and taking in the view!  That evening he fell asleep in my arms and I cried big, happy, bittersweet tears.  Our baby was growing up.  He’d reached a big milestone.  And my how the time seemed to have zoomed by since first meeting him a year ago.  Remington, you are such a joy in our lives, we love you to the moon and back!  A few days after his party, my Mom helped me with Remington’s 1 year session.  We were quite a sight to see that day with a stroller, big balloons, a cake, toys, decorations, an overstuffed diaper bag, and camera gear!  Whew!  It was a lot of fun though!  Here are some favorites from that day!

Peek a boo!

Ha ha ha!  I can just hear him squealing in this one!

Oh how I love this face!

After some quick portraits, it was time to bring out the cake and balloons!
Isn’t this cake adorable?!  Our sweet friend, Lisa, made it!  Besides being an absolutely delicious chocolate cake, it was decorated even better than I had imagined!  Thank you so much, Lisa!!!

He loved holding onto the number 1!  And he still plays with it when he finds it in his toy bin!
I used some decor from his room too – the letter R and the striped rug.

At his birthday party, once he got a taste of his cake, he just played and played, making a huge chocolate-y mess!  However, this day, he was a little more reserved!

I love that icing was all over his little hands and feet!

Love you, sweet baby boy!  xoxo, Mommy

Happy New Year!  As 2014 begins, I’d like to take a look back at some favorite images from 2013.  This past year was a truly fantastic one!  I had the honor of working with previous wonderful clients as well as meeting amazing new ones!  I love my job, and I feel so very blessed and thankful to continue realizing this dream of mine.  Exciting things are in store for Stewart Imagery in the coming months, and I can’t wait to share them with you!  For now, let’s take a quick look at some favorite moments from 2013.  It was so difficult to choose just one image to represent a session – you know me, I always have several favorites within each post!   In no particular order, here we go!

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being so wonderful!
Wishing you a Happy and Bright 2014!

It is Christmas Eve, and I’ve been snuggling and playing with my little guy all day!  He’s just settled in for a Christmas Eve nap, so there’s wrapping to be done!  We look forward to attending Christmas Eve Mass and hearing our favorite holiday carols and feeling the magic and spirit of this season.  We’ll be spending time with family, and we’re excited to see Remington really take in all that’s around him.

Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas, filled with glad tidings and good cheer!

Happy Holidays!

It has been a while since I blogged photos of my sweet baby boy, Remington!  He is now a walking, almost running 15 month old toddler, who loves chasing Lucy and Lola around the house!  Reggie and I never realized just how much joy he would bring to our lives!  Remington is a sweetheart, he loves to cuddle and play and knows just how to flash those sparkling blue eyes of his to make me melt!  Here are some favorites from the quickest of sessions right around Halloween and during the peek of fall at 13 months old.  I was determined to get one – just one! – family photo!  Luckily, the stars aligned and we got a few on a beautiful November afternoon!  That meant I could check Family Holiday Cards off my to-do list!  Hooray!

Remington’s Great Aunt Sally sent him an adorable baseball outfit for his birthday…so that was his Halloween costume! šŸ™‚
He was a little less than thrilled at having Halloween portraits…he would have rather played with my light stand that was across the room!  There is something about this one that seems like an old time baseball portrait.

However, he did give me some seriously adorable expressions!

Our son loves to be barefoot!

He found a beautiful big yellow leaf and was so proud of it!

A few days later, despite all the rain we got over Halloween, there were still
some lovely leaves left on the trees!
My two handsome guys!!!  Reggie took some amazing photos of me and my little pumpkin!

Remington loves to “fly” and go upside down!

Again, my hubby is so good with a camera!  I absolutely love this photo!
It is going to be framed on my desk!
Lucy joined us too!  Perhaps next time we’ll get Lola the cat to cooperate! šŸ˜‰
A girl can dream, right?!

Reggie, Remington, and Lucy, thank you for being the best family I could ever hope for!  And thank you for being such good sports for our family photos!  Love you all to pieces!

Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving holiday!  We’ll be spending the day with family, enjoying some delicious food, playing some games, and watching Remington toddle all around chasing Lucy!  Sounds perfect to me!

This past year has been a great one for my business, and I’m so thankful for all of my wonderful clients, as well as family and friends, who continue to support this dream of mine.  I truly love what I do, and I count my lucky stars to feel so passionate about my career.  There are some exciting things in store for Stewart Imagery in the coming months… I look forward to sharing more on this soon!

For now, I just want to take this time to be thankful.  Thankful for a wonderful husband.  Thankful for our sweet son who makes us laugh and smile each day.  Thankful for our loving family.  For our friends.  And for Lucy and Lola who endure singing baby toys, high-pitch squeals, and playful tugs on whiskers and ears from their little brother.  Thankful for another day to enjoy this amazing thing called life.

Happy Thanksgiving!
