Some of my photography friends and I got together for some fun at the Indianapolis Arts Center. My colleague let me borrow one of his lenses for the day, which I really did not want to give back! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day. This is a beautiful location, and I will definitely have to go back. They host the Broad Ripple Art Fair, so if you get the chance, you may want check it out! It’s coming up on May 16th and 17th.

I was in the middle of working on a shot of a light bulb, when I saw this little guy in my way…

Who knew those pesky dandelions could be so whimsical?

Please post a comment, and let me know which photo is your favorite and why! Thanks!

Happy Easter!

Spring is in the air! The grass is getting greener, the flowers that have been dormant are finally waking up…ahhh…there’s just something about all of this time of year that pumps me up! And there are some reasons to celebrate too…

Happy 40th Anniversary, Mom and Dad! Congratulations! Thank you for being great role models and examples of happily married people. Enjoy your carrot cake!

Lola had just woken up from her late morning nap. Saturdays (and Sundays) are her days to nap as she pleases, pretty much like all the other days of the week, really. She was not too happy to look up with me standing over her. Luckily for me, she was still in the lazy post-nap phase where she doesn’t move too swiftly.

Lola, you’re the best kitty in the world!

Today is my Mom’s birthday! Along with my Dad, she has been my biggest fan all my life, and continues to be so. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of both of my parents. My Mom believes in me, and always offers encouragement and positivity. She loves the color green, walking outside, being with friends and family, and sewing. Aside from hemming jeans and replacing buttons for me and my Dad, she has turned plain sweaters and cardigans into works of art by embellishing with beads and jewels, all by hand! She bought me my first sewing machine, which, by the way, I will need a refresher course on, Mom! šŸ™‚ She has been the loving glue that has kept our family close. She has always put the needs of others before those of her own, and for that, I cannot thank you enough. I am so lucky to have such great parents, and the best Mom I could have hoped for.
Thank you for all that you do, and for all that you are. I love you, Mom, and you deserve the Happiest Birthday yet!

I have been waiting ever so patiently for this shoot! We tried this a few weeks ago, but it was just too muddy at this location. Reggie was a great model, he just made it look so effortless. Here are some of my favorites.

Thank you, Reggie, you are the best! Love ya!
P.S. I’m the luckiest woman in the world.
