Reggie and I took the Baur for a spin around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was a bright, sunny day, and the cars were lined up outside the IMS ready for their turn to go around one of the most famous tracks in the world. We were told the speed limit was 30mph, but we only got up to about 10mph. Police and safety vehicles were parked throughout the track to keep all of the drivers in line, and most of the drivers were going pretty slow…better to soak it all in that way, right? The best part was heading down the main straight, toward the pagoda, toward the yard of bricks. This year is the 100th running of the Indianapolis 500!
As we passed pit row, we saw old race cars on display,
so we checked those out after our victory lap. I’ll take this pink one!

Thirty-two years ago, a sweet baby boy was born into this big, big world. Little did he know how he would enrich the lives of all who know him, how he would inspire so many to follow their dreams, and how he would make one woman feel so proud, so lucky, so blessed to call him her husband.
Thirty-two years later, he continues to be just as sweet while sweeps me off my feet over and over and over again. Happy Birthday, to my husband, Reggie! I love you!
Reggie and I are going to drive some laps out at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as part of Community Day – stay tuned for photos!

I had the pleasure of coordinating a photography outing this week. We ventured to Holliday Park. The weather was beautiful, as well as the surroundings. So many great sources of inspiration! Trails perfect for hiking and exploring, streams and ponds, a rock garden nestled in a curved path, a wide overpass complete with graffiti, and, of course, some wildlife. Here are are few of my favorites from the evening.

My husband asked me to take some photos of one his finished projects. This sweet cabrio belongs to our friends, Sean and Kristen, and was destined for the crusher a few years back, when Reggie got a phone call asking if he would know anyone interested in it. Reggie made a phone call to Sean, and he was definitely interested, even though it would need a little work. Ahem, make that a lot of work. Sean said “Yeah, that would be cool.” So a deal was made that sealed the fate of this hunk of metal, destined to be just that…only crushed to tiny bits and pieces of metal. Plus, the car only had roughly 86,000 miles on the odometer. The car was towed to Reggie’s shop. I remember looking at it thinking this was going to be quite a project. An expensive project at that! I mean, the seats and dash were covered in dirt, dust, and grime, just crumbling away. Trash and debris was strewn about the interior. The top was shredded. As for the paint, I could barely tell the car was supposed to be white. Then Reggie cleaned and buffed just a small section of the hood. Wow! There actually was a nice, clean car hidden underneath!
To make a long story short, Reggie has done quite a bit of work to this car. To get the full scoop, please check out his blog, some of this will look quite familiar. š
Let’s just cut right to the photos!
This is one of my favorites. There’s just something cool about this bridge with the signs on both sides.

We took my parents to visit the IMA gardens. It was a lovely day with the aroma of all the different varieties of plants and flowers wafting throughout the pathways. Mom, here are some images from our day. Love you! xo
