What wonderful fall weather we’ve had the past week! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it sticks around for a while longer! Over the weekend, I was admiring the colorful autumn leaves and taking Lucy for a walk when I looked up in the sky and saw a hot air balloon. Imagine the view from up there! I’ve never been in a hot air balloon, but I’m sure it’s an awesome experience! Feeling the wind in your hair and seeing the world from a different perspective as you float along in the sky… I’m adding this to my bucket list for sure!

We found Lucy earlier this summer. She has captured our hearts! She has been growing so fast! I wanted to be sure to get lots of photos while she was still a teeny tiny little pup, so one afternoon when she was very sleepy I captured some of her sweet and furry cuteness.
Later we ventured outside once the heat of the day subsided a little to get some more photos, and these are some of my absolute favorites.

Just a quick note to check in and wish you all a happy, fun, and relaxing Labor Day weekend! I’m looking forward to spending time with Reggie before the busy month of September really takes off. A little R + R is just what the doctor ordered, as the old saying goes!

Happy Tuesday! Just like last year, I’ve submitted 3 photos as part of the Indiana State Fair’s annual photography exhibit. There are so many talented artists and artisans, and I can’t wait to go check everything out later this week. If you’re going to the State Fair, be sure to check out the Ellison Bakery Home & Family Arts building where you’ll find everything from antiques, sculptures, cakes, fashion, and, of course, photography!
My thoughts and prayers are with all those who were injured and lost their lives during the recent tragedy. May their family and friends find peace knowing that their fellow Hoosiers — as well as many people from across the nation and around the world — are thinking about them.
