We’re already 20 days in to the New Year!  Last year, I did a post featuring some of my favorites from my 2009 sessions, and thought it would be fun to do it again for 2010!  I truly love my job, and I have to admit that I really do have the best clients!  Each of my clients is unique and wonderful, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them tick.  I cherish the friendships that I’ve made, and feel so honored and grateful to be the one to capture hugs, love, laughter, smiles, and togetherness. Thank you to all of my clients for making what I do so incredibly rewarding. You rock!  Now let’s get on to the images!

Thank you to all of my clients for being so absolutely wonderful!
You are the best!
Stay tuned for 2010 wedding and engagement favorites!

This couple, now a family, holds a special place in my heart!  Last year, I photographed Matt and Liliana’s Fountain Square Theatre wedding, and I’ve haven’t been quite the same since.  Their wedding was perfect, full of love, happiness, joy, and excitement.  I had the time of my life photographing it, and I remember quite clearly how I rushed home after their beautiful bubble exit to tell my husband all about my big day, and Matt and Liliana’s, of course.  That day proved to me just how much I love what I do, and I knew I wanted to keep on doing it.  And now my first wedding couple has a sweet baby girl, Megan, who is now 4 months old.  And I simply adore her!  Megan, you couldn’t ask for two more wonderful parents.  In fact, your Daddy told me how “very sweet and adorable” you were, and he was absolutely right!  Here are some favorites from our afternoon.

Love her little smile here!

Megan is already a big Colts fan!  Go Blue!

Shorty, you are so handsome.

Have you noticed how Shorty is always looking at the camera?  I think he wants to be A.N.T.C.M.
That’s America’s Next Top Canine Model.  I’d vote for him! 🙂

 Hi there, Megan!

Favorite!

One proud father. He’s just beaming.

 Yes, yes, another favorite.

Liliana, you are a beautiful mom.

Shorty, you are a sweetheart and a trooper! 😉

Once Megan put on her cute little tutu and cute little striped socks, she was so happy and excited!

Loved her striped socks and tutu!

Another favorite!

Megan, you are adorable!  Just like your Daddy said!

She has long, beautiful baby lashes!

And she loves when her Mommy holds her.

What a sweet, happy family.  Love these!

Matt, Liliana, and Megan, thank you for sharing your afternoon with me!  And Shorty too, of course!
I’m so happy for you and your amazing family!  Congratulations!
Can’t wait to see you again soon!

The forecast called for afternoon showers, which totally conflicted with my plans to meet up with this next family.  Dark clouds loomed, rain drops fell. The sky gave way for a short while, and then it stopped.  Despite the gray weather, I knew this session would be great.  Another reason shined brighter though. I was greeted with a warm hug by Celina.  She told me she was a hugger.  We had only spoken on the phone a few times and traded planning emails prior to this meeting. And that’s how I knew, from that moment, we were in for a fun session.  Please give a warm welcome to this amazing family: Chris, Celina, Cobe, Cailey, Carley, Rich, Karen, Luke, and Ashley!  You guys were so much fun!  I can’t wait to see you all again!  And now for some images!

Cailey, Cobe, and Carley!

Karen and Rich, you two are adorable!  And surrounded by such a wonderful family!
Karen and Rich are proud parents of Celina and Luke, proud grandparents of Cobe, Cailey,
and Carley, and proud parents-in-law (I think I just made that up!) to Chris and Ashley.
Truly a loving bunch. A fun loving bunch!

Celina and Chris, the hugger and the smile-maker (more on that later!)

Luke is Celina’s brother.  He and Ashley were married back in September. What a sweet couple!
Cobe is 11, and a great big brother.
With those eyes and that smile, all the girls will be after you, Cobe!

 Cailey’s 8, and quite a beauty.

And this little 5 year old sweetheart is Carley.  Don’t you love her blond curls?
The ladies worked.it.out for the camera!

As did the fellas…I’ll be sending this one to GQ ASAP, as you requested. 😉

This family is very close, enjoying time together on the weekends hanging out.
They were so thrilled when Ashley joined their family, especially Cailey…

 …and Carley!

And they are totally smitten with their Uncle Luke.

 I love this one!

The kids wanted their photo with Luke and Ashley…

…and then came the leaves!
Celina and her girls, Chris and his little guy.

Remember earlier when I called Chris the “smile-maker”?  This is why!

I absolutely love this one.

Grandfather and grandson on a walk along a colorful path.

Ashley and Luke.  I love the quietness of your love.

It was as if the red berries on the trees were there just for them!

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for such a great session!
And thank you for making me feel like part of the family as well.
Please keep smiling, hugging, and laughing, because it’s contagious. 🙂
I’m looking forward to seeing you all again soon! You’re the best!

We have had a fantastically beautiful fall this year in the Midwest!  I met this fun, energetic, happy family on a sunny fall evening for some family photos.  Please welcome Mark, Jenny, Jake, Sam, and Lucy!  What a gorgeous bunch!  And we were surrounded by beauty…horses, colorful leaves, and smiling faces, of course!

A favorite!  Mark and Jenny, you two are so cute!

Two handsome brothers, Sam and Jake.

Oh my goodness!  Lucy, you are such a doll!

 Hi there, Sam!

 Hello, Jake!

Ok, ok, I love love this one too.  Seriously adorable trio.

Mark, Jenny, Jake, Sam, and Lucy, you guys are the best!
Thank you for such a fun session!  Can’t wait to show you the rest of your images!

We’ve had such a beautiful fall, so it’s no wonder that people love to have it captured in photos!  I had the pleasure to meet another great family!  Please welcome Phil, Lori, and David to the blog!  We could not have asked for better weather for our session, since the day before had been so cold, damp, and rainy.  A soft, warm, glowy light filtered through a nearby park, where we started off our session.  Thank you, Phil, Lori, and David for a fun evening!  And now for some of their images!

One of my favorites!  The fall colors, the light, and their smiles! LOVE!

I mentioned this is a tight family. They love spending time together, whether it be traveling, watching and playing baseball, arts and crafts, cards, board games, movies and more.

Phil + Lori = Adorable!

David, you were such a great sport!  His eyes just sparkle, and he couldn’t stop smiling!

Ok, so I did get him to stop smiling for a second for a more serious portrait, this is another favorite. I’m allowed to have more than one favorite, right?  Right!

Awww!

Father and son.  These two are a tight team.  It’s obvious that Phil is so proud of his son David.

David is a multi-talented young man.  One such talent is drawing. He’s inspired by nature, and loves drawing landscapes. What better place to be inspired than in the colorful woods!

I loved watching him work.  He sat here for a few moments to work on a recent sketch. And, naturally, I documented it!  🙂

Phil, Lori, and David, thanks again for such a great session!  It was so nice to meet you, and I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images!
