Happy New Year, friends!!! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season! Winter seems to finally be settling in, as I look out my window and see mounds of snow and ice! Time for hot cocoa, sledding, and cuddling up with warm blankets and a good book! For now, it’s time to play catch up in blogging some more gorgeous fall portrait sessions! This next family – aside from being beautiful to photograph – was so much fun! Jamal, Brandi, Ella, and Miles love to spend time together, indoors and outdoors, smiling, laughing, playing board games, venturing to parks and favorite museums. It just so happened that it was Miles’ 2nd birthday on the same day as our session! What an honor to share his special day with him!!! Here are some favorites from our evening!
This sweet family stole my heart during their session! I’m so lucky to meet such wonderful people! Brad and Rasmy are so kind and so genuine, and they’re the best parents to two adorable kiddos, 3 year old Alex and his sister Lily who’s 1! Together, they are a happy-go-lucky bunch that love life and making every moment count. We had a perfect fall evening for their family portraits, around their cozy home and colorful neighborhood. It seems like it was just the other day when I first met Graham for his newborn session! He celebrated his first birthday in October, and visited me at the studio for some portraits and a fall themed cake smash! His mom, Kristen, mentioned that he wasn’t that into his birthday cake, so maybe this time he’d be excited for some icing and cake! It turns out that he was more interested in the mini pumpkins, bumpy gourds, and colorful leaves than any frosting with sprinkles! None of that mattered because we got some handsome portraits of this happy and sweet little guy, who had just started walking not long before coming over! Graham, thank you for sharing your afternoon with me! You are just adorable!!!
I cannot say just how much I adore this family! I’ve had the honor of photographing them since they arrived home just a few weeks after being born, and watching them grow over the past two years has been such a treat! Greg and Allison are wonderful parents, and it’s obvious that they cherish their sweet kiddos! Besides being so adorable, Harry and Lucy are quite good helpers! They helped me get some photos of their Mommy and Daddy together! It was so fun! We had a beautiful fall afternoon, filled with lovely light and golden color, to capture their family portraits, and I’ve been so excited to share some favorites from our day!
Having Remington in our lives has been a blessing in so many ways! Just two short hours after Remington was born, so was this adorably sweet and handsome guy, Jackson! His beautiful mom, Lynne, and I met within a few weeks after they were born and learned that not only were they born on the same day, but that they are just two hours apart! We like to say that they became friends while in the nursery together! It has been so fun growing our friendship and seeing our boys become friends over the past two years! A week before his 2nd birthday, we met up on a beautiful evening for some portraits to capture this super-fun, spunky, and sweet toddler! Friends and family can view his entire online gallery here.
