Six years ago, they danced for the first time as husband and wife in historic Fountain Square as family and friends watched them, listening to a song that quickly became a favorite of mine too. Lucky. And that’s how I felt having this sweet couple and their beautiful daughter, Megan, in front of my camera again.
Matt’s “instant crush” on Liliana turned into something so special and so very beautiful. Their connection is palpable, fun-loving, and oh so sweet to witness! You’ll see for yourselves in just a minute!
When Liliana contacted me about photographing their anniversary, I was beyond thrilled! Liliana planned every detail of their bohemian styled anniversary, including making their adorable teepee herself! (And she later gifted it to me as we said our goodbyes!) We started at their home with some family photos and some photos to remember their home. The home they shared as newlyweds. The home they brought their sweet daughter to when she was born and grew into the adorable little lady she is now. It was a bittersweet shoot… After all, this couple’s wedding was my very first on my own, and I still remember the feeling I that day and long after arriving home, both exhausted and exhilarated in the best possible way, at having the honor of capturing their special day. A few days after our session, this warm and genuine family moved to sunny Arizona. I’ve always wanted to see the desert, so maybe we’ll have to plan another anniversary session soon! Before I get any more sappy, I am excited and honored to share some of my many, many favorites from our fun evening! Happy Anniversary, Liliana and Matt!!!
Photographing this blue-eyed, curly-haired sweetheart is always such a treat! Diana is 5 years old, full of wonder and personality, and the proud owner of some new furry friends that I had the honor to meet! Diana was so excited for this portrait session! I always have so many favorites because she is just so much fun to have in front of my camera! And in blogging these, I realized I have yet to blog her holiday portraits after sharing some on Facebook after her session! So we’re in for a double dose of this little beauty! Happy Monday!
Oh what a magical session this was! Despite the chilly December weather, we worked quickly to get many gorgeous images of Diana in a princess dress! Here are a few favorites of mine!
We had a lovely early summer evening for a portrait session of these two handsome brothers! Please give a warm welcome to Eli (4 years old) and Riley (2 years old)! They are completely adorable, which you’ll see for yourselves in just a moment! I love their bright, sparkly eyes and their sweet personalities! Eli enjoyed posing and hamming it up for the camera, while his younger brother was a little more shy and serious. I was instantly smitten with both of them, and it is obvious that they are the best of friends! It was a joy to meet them and their sweet parents, Brooke and Mike. A huge thank you to a dear client of mine, Jenny, for sending another amazing family to me! I’m so blessed and thankful to meet new and wonderful clients and friends through this job of mine! And now for some favorites from our session!
Creatures. Delicious. Amazing. These are just a few of my favorite words that have come out of our little guy’s mouth recently. And I do have to agree with that last one. Amazing. At 2 and 1/2 years, Remington continues to be and do just that for us each and every day. He has his sweet and cuddly moments, running up to us and giving us a tight squeeze out of the blue. He loves to run and race around our dining room table almost every day. And he’ll try new foods more often now too. Yes, there are the occasional toddler melt downs. The wanting to play rather than nap or sleep or eat. The pushing of parental buttons. All of that. That’s normal, right? No matter what, he fills us with such joy, such pride, such immense love, and we are so thankful to get to be his Mommy and Daddy! And ohhhh can he giggle! Right now, the funniest thing is watching him interact with Lucy. He just cracks himself up when chasing after her and hearing her bark and try to hide! And his laughter is contagious! I love it, and I just want to bottle it up! That and his singing! He’ll sing sometimes in his crib in the mornings. Just today he was singing snippets of the birthday song to Lucy (her birthday isn’t until June)! When it comes to taking pictures, he asks me to do so when I’m least prepared, when my iPhone is full, or when his curly hair is extra wild! Ha! The stars aligned earlier this week when my parents came to visit. We jumped in the car and within an hour I had some photos of my boy that I was so excited about! Remington loves anything with wheels, so he loved playing with this antique truck, which belonged to 2 of his great uncles! Hi Uncle Mark and Uncle Mike! You’ll be getting some prints in the mail soon! 😉
My dear friend is expecting her second child in just a few short weeks! She wanted to capture this special time since she didn’t have maternity photos taken during her first pregnancy. Audrey and I have been friends since meeting our freshman year at Indiana University. We’ve run countless miles together, with dogs, and with our kiddos. Our two boys have become great friends too, which makes us so excited and happy! They both love cars, trains, animals! And soon we’ll all be swooning over a sweet baby girl! I just cannot wait to meet her! Audrey, I’m so excited for you and your family! Here are a few favorites of my beautiful friend from our afternoon in the studio!
