What a beautiful summer evening we had for these fun, sweet, and colorful mother and daughter portraits near downtown Indianapolis! Yes, it was hot! And there were bugs! However, these two were simply amazing and such a delight to have in front of my camera! I adore them both! I have so many favorites, so I’ll be short on words and get right to the images! Each time I have the honor of photographing this strawberry blond, curly-haired sweetheart, I become even more smitten with her! Maybe it’s the way her eyes sparkle with sass, with imagination, and with joy. Maybe it’s the way she embraces her surroundings, like her sweet kitty cat and those baby chicks! It’s definitely the way she makes me work for her attention…and the results are always some gorgeous portraits that I am so proud of and excited to share with her parents! I always love photographing this sweet girl! She’s beautiful inside and out. And she has a such a warm, friendly, bubbly personality! For the past several years, she’s been volunteering her free time working with animals at the local shelter and reading to dogs at the library. Instead of receiving toys and gifts for her birthday, she asks that friends and family consider donating much needed items for animals in need. How incredible is that?! Mason, it has been such and honor and beyond fun to watch you grow up into such a generous and thoughtful person! Here are a few favorites from her most recent spring portrait session! I’m so excited to share some favorites from this sweet family’s newborn session! James and Marisa welcomed their precious baby boy, Clayton James, into the world just 3 short weeks ago, and they couldn’t be more smitten with him! What a fun session this was! James and Marisa are adorable together, and they radiate life and happiness and joy! They have wonderful families and many friends who all adore them and their new addition. Oooh, Emilia!!! Beautiful, sweet Emilia!!! What a joy it was to photograph you on such a lovely autumn afternoon! Emilia’s mom, Elizabeth, and I both went to IU and lived on the same floor in the dorms for two years. We were right across the hall from each other. She married her lifelong sweetheart, Joe. They’ve been inseparable since 1992 and were married in November 2003, and together they have 3 of the most adorable, joyful, patient, well-behaved children I have ever met! It seems like yesterday we were roaming that gorgeous private property on a fall day when Clark and Sydney were 4 and 2! And now you have another little beauty, Miss Emilia!
