Lola has been a little jealous lately that she has not been featured on the blog for awhile…so, Lola, here you go! I think she just wanted an excuse to be photographed for her upcoming 4th birthday…just a hunch!
She approves of our new kitchen rug. In fact, she’s pretty much claimed it as her own.
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I enjoyed some time with my camera on Saturday morning as part of the Worldwide Photo Walk. The leader of our group chose the Canal downtown Indianapolis as our venue. So for two hours, we were on our own to find some photo opportunities. Each participant can submit 2 photos in hopes of winning prizes like brand new cameras, photography books, and more. Wish me luck! I’ll be competing with hundreds of thousands of people from around the world, from Paris to New Zealand. Leave a comment with the titles of your favorites and help me decide which 2 photos I should submit before July 25th! Thank you for your help!

Black, white, and shades of gray
I met up with my photography friends for another outing. After having a gorgeous blue sky filled with perfectly puffy clouds all day long…the gray skies took over. So much for our plan to get some sunset photos. I found these cute flowers, and I think they made up for the sunshine that had disappeared.
Who knew an old typewriter could be so fun? I’ve been searching for one for some time, with the original idea to make jewelry from the keys (seen made by another jewelry artist a few years ago). A few weeks ago, Reggie and I took off on a Friday and visited the yard sales along US 40. After just a few stops on our journey, we happened to visit a smaller yard sale, when I spotted this…
This machine dates back to 1942, and it still works! It just needs a new ribbon. Since I don’t really make jewelry anymore, I’m keeping it as a photo prop. So if you know of any writers who would like some portraits…;)
Here’s one result of some time spent introducing this ol’ typewriter to my camera.
