I met this wonderful family just a year ago for a family session, and we hit it off right away and had so much fun on a perfect summer evening. This time Cristina, Todd, Jack, and I met up bright and early to beat the summer heat and humidity. And we had another perfect session! I absolutely love seeing how kids grow and change, and catching up with clients and how they are doing since our last session. Jack is going on 6 years old, and told me how excited he was to start school. He is incredibly athletic and energetic…not to mention incredibly adorable! This family has the most beautiful blue eyes and wonderful smiles. They even brought their two basset hounds, Sophie and Jackson! My dear friends Ashley and Ben were so excited for the arrival of their baby girl. I knew from their sweet maternity session that they would be amazing parents. I’ve never seen Ashley so happy. And she’s mentioned to me countless times how much she adores her daughter. She also says that being a mother is the best thing she’s ever experienced. As for Ben, he is exactly the kind of husband and father Ashley would wish for. His patient, gentle, laid back nature perfectly complements Ashley’s warm, outgoing, self-described “social butterfly” personality. And together they surround their new little one with so much love and comfort. Eden Krista, you already bring so much joy to your parents’ lives, and to all who have met you, including me. In Hebrew, her name means paradise. Her eyes are bright blue, just like her late Grandmother, Krista, for whom she was named. I have no doubt in my mind that Krista is in paradise, smiling down on her new grand-daughter with love. On to some sweet images from Eden Krista’s newborn session! Another favorite!
A year ago in May, I met her parents on a cloudy, spring afternoon. They were expecting their first child, a sweet baby girl. They wanted to have this time in their lives documented…to show how happy they were together as a couple, and how excited they were as this new chapter in their lives began to unfold. As I mentioned when I blogged about their maternity session, there was something about Heather and Brian that tugged at my heart. I told them that day, that they were beautiful. That they were glowing. And I meant it. Every word. I’ve had the joy of watching their new little family blossom before my eyes. Their little girl has also stolen my heart. She is such a happy baby girl, and with good reason, for she has two wonderful parents who love her more than words can describe, more than numbers can measure. I was honored when they asked me to document Emily Claire’s 1st birthday. It was a perfect summer day with blue skies, smiling faces, and quite possibly the best cupcakes ever baked. Heather, Brian, and Emily welcomed me into their home, not only as their photographer, but as a friend and invited guest.
