A few months ago, I posted a little sneak peek on facebook from Mason’s 3 year session…and since then, we’ve been planning a family session.  Life happens.  It rains, then it gets HOT and stays hot for what seems like an eternity!  I’m happy to say that you’ll be seeing more of Mason and her parents more on this blog soon!  Until then, I thought I’d go ahead and share some favorites from our spring portraits of Mason to celebrate her 3rd birthday.  We had a nice evening with great light…along with an adorable polka dot dress and pink umbrella just for fun!  Mason has been in front of my lens since she was born, and I have loved watching her grow up!  And she is so excited to meet our little guy in the coming weeks!  I know they are going to be wonderful friends!  (To see more of Mason – and you know you want to! – click here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.)  Mason, you are completely adorable, and I always love our time together!

Mason has gorgeous lashes!

Soooo pretty in pink!

Skipping and dancing in the woods, love it!

Love, love, love this one.  Favorite!
After our session, we promised Mason a trip to the park to play before dinner…I asked for just one.more.picture…I love her response!  ðŸ˜‰

Like I said, completely adorable.

Mason, thank you for being such a sweetie!  See you soon!

A few months ago, my husband Reggie and I met a sweet couple at an event.  We shared something in common, we were both first time expectant parents!  However, in Natalie and Tom’s case, they were expecting not one little boy but two!  We spent the evening sharing pregnancy stories, experiences, and questions.   Natalie glowed with excitement as she described her journey so far.   I received a message a few weeks after meeting them both, and I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph their new family.  And what a joy it was!  These two beamed with pride and awe when holding their new little bundles of love, Nick and Henry!  And, I must admit, it made me all the more anxious about meeting our little guy in September!  Natalie and Tom, you are already wonderful parents, and I can’t wait to see your family grow!  Congratulations on two handsome little guys!  They are perfectly sweet and adorable!  Friends and family can view their entire online gallery here.  And now for some of my favorites from the session!

Meet Nick!
Nick and his proud Daddy!  Nick was awake for most of the session,
he was so curious about what was going on!

And Henry!
Natalie holds baby Henry, who was content and sleepy for the majority of the afternoon.  I love his little toes and hand in this one!

Nicholas Reynolds, 7 pounds 4 ounces, was born 8:10am, while his twin, Henry Nickerson, just 6 pounds 3 ounces, was born 2 minutes later on the 23rd of May.
Favorite!
Another favorite!  I love how Nick is looking up at his daddy!

Oh, how this one melts my heart too!
Love, love, love this one!

Best of friends and a sleepy little yawn!

Henry was as cozy as could be!  And just look at those sweet little toes!

I love how their personalities show in this one…younger Henry is just snoozing away,
while older brother Nick is wide awake!

Nick was taking everything in and keeping an eye on Mom and Dad as they stood nearby.

Henry : Sweet and sleepy…
…bright eyed and kicking and stretching : Nick!

Tom and Natalie have a beautiful garden, and since baby Henry was just dozing away, we took advantage of some great light in the garden.  Love these next two!

Natalie and Tom, thank you SO much for sharing your afternoon with me!  I absolutely loved meeting Nick and Henry!  They are two lucky guys to have such loving parents!
And I know they are going to be the best of friends!  Congratulations!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a more lovely evening for family portraits!  I met up with John, Amy, Danielle, John’s sister Jan, and their sweet pup, Romeo to roam one of their favorite places in the city.  The session had been a long time in the making, and for good reason.  Their other daughter, Brittany, would be home for a week from serving in the peace corps.  Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to join us after all, but she was dearly missed by her family.  Brittany, I hope to get to meet you the next time you are in the States!  In the meantime, I hope these photos will bring you some hope and joy knowing that these people love you and miss you so much!  Keep up your wonderful work, what an inspiration you are!  And a big thank you to John, Amy, Danielle, Jan – thank you for making our session so much fun!  You are such a beautiful family, inside and out!  Friends and family can view their entire gallery here.  Let’s get right to some images, shall we?

Meet 8 year old beauty, Danielle!

John and his kind and lovely sister, Jan.
These next few with Danielle and little Romeo are some of my favorites!

Looooove.

Danielle!!!  You are gorgeous!  Those sparkling green eyes!  Favorite!

When I spoke to John a while back about their session, he mentioned that he and Amy had not had many photos taken of just the two of them since their wedding…so we made it happen!
And I must say I love all of these!

Amy, you are g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.

Did I mention that the light this evening was absolutely perfect?

If I’ve not mentioned lately that I have the best clients and that I love them dearly, I’m going to take this moment right now to do so!  I have THE best clients!  And they make me love what I do more and more!  Last summer I photographed Jenny and Eric’s gorgeous Plum Creek Golf Club Wedding, and this sweet couple you’re about to meet couldn’t attend their friends’ wedding because they were welcoming their first little one into the world!  And that’s where I come in.  Brian and Brittani had an adorable baby boy, and he recently celebrated his 1st birthday!  We had a beautiful morning to wander around a quaint little town and then we let the birthday boy have some fun with his very own cupcake!   Brian, Brittani, and Bryson, thank you for sharing your morning with me!  You are such an adorable family, and I’m so glad I got the chance to capture this exciting time in your family’s life!  And I’m even more excited to welcome our little guy in September!  Friends and family can view their entire gallery here.  And now for some of my favorites from our time together!

Starting with a favorite!  This was one of the first few images from our session…and when I saw it I just knew we were in for an awesome session!

Another favorite!

I learned the hot dog song…well, at least a few words of it, and I’m pretty sure
that I was a little pitchy, but hey, it worked! 😉

Little toes!

Oh, Bryson!  You are going to break some hearts with those blue eyes of yours!

LOVE both of these!

Gorgeous day, gorgeous light, gorgeous family!

Then it was time for a little party in the park!

Bryson stared at the cupcake for a little while, but once he got a little taste of that yummy green icing, he was ready for more!  Another favorite!

Happy 1st Birthday, Bryson!

Brian, Brittani, and Bryson, I can’t thank you enough for being such a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky family!  Bryson is completely adorable, and such a lucky little boy to have two sweet, positive, loving parents.  And a huge thank you to Jenny and Eric for introducing us to each other!  Happy (belated) Anniversary to you both!

The day after my husband and I announced on facebook that we’re expecting our first little one, I had the awesome opportunity to photograph Cannon and his newborn cousin, Rigby Wilde!  And let me tell you, I was SO excited about it!  I arrived to a very warm welcome and was instantly smitten with these two little ones and their whole family!  Natalie and Jon welcomed their son, Rigby Wilde, into the world on March 21, 2012.  He has the sweetest big sister, Scout, and she loves him to pieces.  It was such an honor to photograph this family, and I’ve been so excited to share these images!  Natalie, Jon, Scout, and Rigby, thank you for welcoming me into your home to capture this amazing time in your lives!  Friends and family can view their entire gallery here.

Starting with one of my favorites!

Rigby’s nursery is full of color and decorated with adorable toys!

This has to be the coolest ceiling I’ve seen in a nursery – yellow stripes!  Love it!
And whoooo doesn’t love owls? 😉

Rigby was as cozy and completely adorable as could be!

Sweet little lips!

Rigby’s dad, Jon, is an avid skier, so it was fun to incorporate some of his favorite cold weather gear!
Love it!

We had wonderful abundant natural light, so I was in heaven!  And little snoozing Rigby made this scene perfection.

Ten sweet baby toes!

One of my favorite parent and newborn images ever.  Natalie, are beautiful!

Love this!

After sleeping through most of the session, Rigby opened his eyes, and what beautiful eyes he has!
Such a happy little one!!!  Another favorite!

Next, Scout was ready for some photos!

Hi there, Scout!   🙂
Another favorite!

Loooove!

Rigby, you are so lucky to have such a sweet big sister!  This was their Sneak Peek on facebook, and I just had to include it in this post too!

We ventured outside for some more photos, their yard was just too beautiful not to!

Buckley, the family dog, wanted to play with the train too!
This vintage train set was one of Jon’s favorite toys when he was growing up!
Favorite!

Daddy’s girl!

Thank you, Jon, Natalie, Scout, and Rigby for such a fun day!  You are such a wonderful family, and I loved getting to spend time with you all!  Rigby is precious, and has the best big sister he could ask for!
Can’t wait to see you again!
