We had a lovely early summer evening for a portrait session of these two handsome brothers! Please give a warm welcome to Eli (4 years old) and Riley (2 years old)! They are completely adorable, which you’ll see for yourselves in just a moment! I love their bright, sparkly eyes and their sweet personalities! Eli enjoyed posing and hamming it up for the camera, while his younger brother was a little more shy and serious. I was instantly smitten with both of them, and it is obvious that they are the best of friends! It was a joy to meet them and their sweet parents, Brooke and Mike. A huge thank you to a dear client of mine, Jenny, for sending another amazing family to me! I’m so blessed and thankful to meet new and wonderful clients and friends through this job of mine! And now for some favorites from our session!
Creatures. Delicious. Amazing. These are just a few of my favorite words that have come out of our little guy’s mouth recently. And I do have to agree with that last one. Amazing. At 2 and 1/2 years, Remington continues to be and do just that for us each and every day. He has his sweet and cuddly moments, running up to us and giving us a tight squeeze out of the blue. He loves to run and race around our dining room table almost every day. And he’ll try new foods more often now too. Yes, there are the occasional toddler melt downs. The wanting to play rather than nap or sleep or eat. The pushing of parental buttons. All of that. That’s normal, right? No matter what, he fills us with such joy, such pride, such immense love, and we are so thankful to get to be his Mommy and Daddy! And ohhhh can he giggle! Right now, the funniest thing is watching him interact with Lucy. He just cracks himself up when chasing after her and hearing her bark and try to hide! And his laughter is contagious! I love it, and I just want to bottle it up! That and his singing! He’ll sing sometimes in his crib in the mornings. Just today he was singing snippets of the birthday song to Lucy (her birthday isn’t until June)! When it comes to taking pictures, he asks me to do so when I’m least prepared, when my iPhone is full, or when his curly hair is extra wild! Ha! The stars aligned earlier this week when my parents came to visit. We jumped in the car and within an hour I had some photos of my boy that I was so excited about! Remington loves anything with wheels, so he loved playing with this antique truck, which belonged to 2 of his great uncles! Hi Uncle Mark and Uncle Mike! You’ll be getting some prints in the mail soon! 😉
My dear friend is expecting her second child in just a few short weeks! She wanted to capture this special time since she didn’t have maternity photos taken during her first pregnancy. Audrey and I have been friends since meeting our freshman year at Indiana University. We’ve run countless miles together, with dogs, and with our kiddos. Our two boys have become great friends too, which makes us so excited and happy! They both love cars, trains, animals! And soon we’ll all be swooning over a sweet baby girl! I just cannot wait to meet her! Audrey, I’m so excited for you and your family! Here are a few favorites of my beautiful friend from our afternoon in the studio!
We had such a stunning and colorful fall season here in Indiana! I always look forward to capturing this next family, and we had perfect golden light, gorgeous scenery, and a fun time! I’ve known Sean and Kristen for years, and I’ve had the honor and privilege of documenting their sweet family since welcoming their adorable daughter Mason into their lives almost 6 years ago! Mason is independent, imaginative, caring, and a true delight to be around! We roamed one of my favorite area locations to capture some family portraits before coming back to our house for dinner. What a great evening we had! Enjoy some of my favorites from our session!
Oh, did we have the most gorgeous fall afternoon! Golden sunshine, vibrant fall color…did I mention dreamy golden sunshine? It was the perfect day for a family portrait session with some of the most kind-hearted and sweet people I know! Having Daniel, Julia, and Alaina in front of my camera – for their first ever family portraits! – was such an honor! Daniel has served this great country of ours, and for that I’m so appreciative and grateful! And the way he makes his two favorite ladies light up with smiles and bursts of laughter, well, that’s just an added bonus! We roamed the local pumpkin patch to capture some this trio’s charm and happiness on an incredible autumn day.
