Forging Sweet Arts // Nickel Plate Arts Gala 2018

I was honored and excited to photograph a local event last week celebrating 6 years of the Nickel Plate Arts!  Their annual anniversary celebration and fundraiser took place at the unique, historic, oh-so-stunning Mill Top Banquet & Conference Center in the heart of downtown Noblesville.  The evening’s festivities kicked off with a VIP Cocktail Party, where guests could meet and speak with local artists, while enjoying hors d’oeuvres and tasting beer and wine from local breweries.  Matt Soverns played piano while the guests mingled and enjoyed conversation in the Mill Top Gallery.   Guests were led up to the gorgeous Great Room upstairs for dinner, awards, live music, a fantastic dance performance, dramatists offering Fairy Sweets, a silent auction, a live auction, and so much more!

Congratulations to Gavin Cooley for winning Emerging Artist of the Year!  Arts Educator of the Year went to Jeremiah Follis.  The City of Fishers won Emerging Arts Champion.  Artist of the Year was awarded to Carol Griffith.  And Arts Patron of the Year went to Noblesville’s Downtown District Committee!  Congratulations to all who were nominated for awards and to the winners!  What a wonderful event this was!  I’m such a proud resident of this great community!!!
