What fun it was to meet this beautiful – not to mention incredibly stylish! – family in downtown Indianapolis!  They had planned a special family outing to celebrate the holidays, including a delicious dinner followed by an evening of festive musical entertainment on Monument Circle. And these days, if you’re getting dressed up, why not have it documented, right?!  Would you believe that they saw friends pass by who were on their way to watch Michigan play?  Scroll down to see!  After a quick Google search, Michigan won the Big Ten Football Championship that day at Lucas Oil Stadium!  Do you want to know something else? Before I got in to photography, I worked with Jim and his colleagues as an administrative assistant! Seeing him years later, along with his gorgeous, happy family was simply the best!  Jim and Chris, thank you so much for asking me to be a part of your special day with your loved ones!  Avery, Evann, Ben, Sydni and Nate, it was so great to meet you all!  Wishing you a holiday season full of joy!!!

One of my many favorite things about my job is how connections are made!  I photographed a senior client turned wedding client last fall as this beautiful barn, and had the honor of meeting with the owner, Jenny.  She was so welcoming, kind, and I soon also learned a talented florist, and a mom of two.  When she asked me to photograph her family last fall, it was such a dream!  We met up again last weekend for more family photos on a beautiful fall afternoon at The Historic Ambassador House & Heritage Gardens, and it was the best time!  Jenny, I’m so thankful that we connected last year!  I admire you so much as a Mom and as a truly talented, creative individual and business owner!  Hope to see you again soon!

Valerie and I connected years ago, in thanks to the wedding industry.  And within a few years of meeting, she told me that she was expecting a baby boy, and I’ve had the sheer honor of photographing her family ever since!  We have a lot in common as Mommy’s to two sweet, energetic, and oh so handsome boys!  We had a lovely afternoon with sunshine for their fall portraits, and, of course they brought their sweet pups too!  Valerie, Scott, H, M, Freenie and Tres, thank you so much for sharing your afternoon with me!  Wishing you a wonderful fall season!

One of my favorite places to photograph my clients in the always beautiful Holliday Park!

We had to reschedule once already, and, as luck would have it, we crossed our fingers again for good weather!  While it sprinkled and rained oh so softly, it did pass, and the sky went from sunny to gray to pink…we were able to get so many sweet and fun photos!  Here is just a quick sneak peek at this family of 6 who’ve had me wrapped around their fingers and forever have a soft spot in my heart since I connected with Jenny years ago!  I adore you all to pieces!!!

Always love photographing my clients at Holliday Park!

It’s crazy to think that it’s been a year since I first met these precious twinsies!  They were born in 2020, and no doubt they’ll hear all kinds of stories about the pandemic!  While they may not have been able to meet as many family members and friends as one might hope, they’ve been showered with lots of love on social media from the beginning!  They slept throughout their insanely adorable newborn session, making it oh so fun when seeing them crawling and learning to walk, smiling and laughing, and, of course, trying birthday cake for the very first time!  They had help from Mommy and Daddy, as well as their beautiful big sisters, Nicolette and Clara, followed by the loveable, furry clean-up committee!  Great work, Viv and Meatball!  And taco-’bout cute details!  Jenny, you prepared such a delightfully charming party for your Prickly Pair!  I loved this sweet party setup for the twins so, so much!  Jenny and Lucas were hosting a small party for immediate family members later that afternoon.  It was such a treat to photograph all of the pretty party details! A friend of the family made the cute smash cakes, cactus cookies, and custom cake pops! And just wait until you see the balloons! After Beckett and Rowen finished their lunch, they got freshened up with matching onesies before enjoying their cake smash!  What a joy it was to witness so many sweet, everyday life moments for this family!  From the getting ready snuggles to the vanilla frosted fingers and noses, it was the best day!  The twins even shared their treats with their parents and big sisters!  Little sweetie pies!!! Beckett and Rowen, you two certainly are loved so very much!  Can’t believe you are 1 already!  Please feel free to take it slow for your Mommy and Daddy, ok? 😉  J and L, thank you so much for inviting me to share in this special day with you all!  xoxo
